              AMAZING PROPERTY AND OWNERS!!

              5 of 5
This was an incredible property and home. It was large enlightenment for our our group of 17 and cozy enough for our night with just 7 of us. When we arrived the owner was waiting for us and have us a through your of the home and grounds and explained how everything operates. There was a large welcome basket waiting for us with sausage,Brie, crackers and fruit and also a little candy and cookies because they knew we were traveling with children. There were extras of everything!! Pillows,blankets,towels- you name it and they had extra- so everyone was able to be comfortable. The whole home was wired for sound so we had had Sirius radio in the background for our whole stay. There was attention to detail everywhere you looked- this was not just a rental property to the owners, this is their personal summer retreat as well and it shows in the decor and standard in which they maintain their home. The cupboards were stocked with spices and oils so there wasn't a need to pack it or buy extra for just the short stay. They had paper plate and cups and laundry soap- just all the little extra things you don't think about until they aren't there. The lake was amazing- and due to the great weather we have been having we were able to swim;) The screened in porch added an amazing space for the family to enjoy the yard- especially for our older relatives. We loved this space and would return in a heartbeat!

              LOVELY

              4 of 5
Our family really enjoyed our stay at Dell Cottage. The home was charming and clean. The view was great. We especially loved the sun porch! The pics and description of the house are right on, and Mary Beth was great to work with. We spent time watching boats, collecting stones on the beach, and splashing in the water. There's a nice yard where our 2 year old could run and play. She also enjoyed the nice playground at the marina (and the First Mate for ice cream). The Dell Cottage and Port Sanilac provided exactly the kind of vacation our little family was in need of--quiet time together in the sunshine and waves.

              WE HAD A GREAT TIME!

              5 of 5
This house was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The pictures and description in the listing were very accurate. The house is all on one level, with just a couple of steps to the front porch and one step down to the laundry room. The entire town is within walking distance. You could get by without a car if you wanted to. We did end up driving to the beach just so we wouldn't have to carry all of our stuff. You can park right by the beach all day for just a dollar. The weather was just gorgeous during our stay. There are several window A/C units in the house, but we didn't need them. Between the cool breeze from the lake and the ceiling fans, we were very cool and comfortable. The big trees in the yard provided a lot of shade, which also helped keep the house cool. The kitchen is fully equipped but doesn't have much counter space. It was fine for us, but if you plan to do a lot of cooking, it might be inconvenient. We ate at local restaurants most of the time. Our favorites were the Stone Lodge and Mary's Diner. The owners were great. They were friendly and helpful and responded quickly to e-mails and phone calls. They have several other rental properties, so if this one is not available or is not quite what you're looking for, you might still want to call them and see if they have something else.
