Relax on the Lake in this Super Cute Cottage

5 of 5
My family and I had the pleasure at staying at this wonderful house in Fort Gratiot during the last week of June 2014. We had a wonderful experience from the start to the finish. The owners were extremely friendly and lived next door and made sure that all our needs were met. The appearance of the house was even better than we had expected – the photos don’t do it justice. The house was really cute and kept in great order and very neat and clean. There were many amenities that made our stay extremely comfortable including a washer/dryer and AC. There was also a TV, DVD player, wifi, and many books and games for when the kids got tired and wanted to relax a little. The view of the lake was breathtaking and we enjoyed having breakfast in both the kitchen and the sun room taking in the beautiful view every morning. The house was less than a mile from Walmart, Meijers and many restaurants, which made it easily accessible to everything. We even had stand up paddle boards delivered to the beach. I’d definitely recommend this house to everyone and would definitely do business with the owners again.

Nice cottage on the lake.

4 of 5
This is an older cottage on the lake which has seen some TLC. There are some quirks, slightly slanting floors and ship stairs to the second floor. We purchased a fan for the upstairs which helped immensely. The weather was fantastic and the water was simply marvelous. We canoed, kayaked and sat on the beach. The location is perfect for freighter watching so bring your binoculars. With a little luck you can beat the freighter down to Vantage Point for a closer look. The traffic and the lights will need to work in your favor for this closer look. We are looking forward to next years stay!

Port Sanilac Cottage

4 of 5
Cottage was clean and comfortable; nice, very large yard; furnishings and appliances a bit dated. Nice front porch. Internet and cell phone service in the area is deplorable - not the owner's fault or anything they can do about it, owners have added wireless internet but service providers are undependable and service is intermittent at best. Street cottage is located on is beautiful for early morning and evening walks; but no public access to the beach which was very disappointing to me; harbor area has a very small unattractive beach area. Very limited activities in the area; this is a nice cottage for a one to two week getaway to relax away from everything.
