Great family getaway

5 of 5
We visited in late August. There were 6 of us - my husband, myself, my husband's sister, and three teenagers (ages 15, 18, and 19). The house is beautiful, right on a very private beach, and has all kinds of equipment: kayaks, bikes, ping-pong, board games, DVDs, and a campfire pit. The kitchen is very well equipped and we really enjoyed preparing meals and sitting down together to share them. The back yard, which is right on the water, has resident squirrels and a very cute chipmunk, and lots of chairs to relax in and watch. Northport is about 10 minutes away and has a good grocery store, marina, and bakery, as well as some restaurants. Leland and Sutton's Bay are each about 25 minutes away and have all kinds of shops. Sleeping Bear Dunes park, which is incredibly scenic, is about an hour away. There was truly something for everyone to do and we enjoyed every minute. Tanya is wonderful to work with.

Thank you for the wonderful Easter. Our family had a grand time flying kites, boating, looking for minnows, and having an Easter egg hunt. We even had a contest to see who could stay in the water the longest - it was cold but the kids loved walking in it. The fireplace and hot tub were a perfect compliment to a day outside in the fresh spring weather.
