This was a great little place for us to stay for our fall color tour week. We used it as a central lodging point and took day trips each day to enjoy the beautiful fall scenery in all directions. We went from Sleeping Bear Dunes on the west to Alpena and Rogers City on the east, and from Houghton Lake on the south to Alanson on the north, with lots of scenic routes and great little towns in between. This was a great central location and the colors and scenery in the immediate area were terrific as well. The condo is small, but great for just two people. We didn't do much cooking, but the Keurig was great for our morning coffee! Everything was as pictured on the website. The bed and bathroom were especially comfortable. A problem with the internet connection was immediately taken care of by Connie and we had no problems for the rest of the week. Connie even checked in with us later in the week to make sure everything was still OK. The condo is tucked away in a great location, so we enjoyed our privacy and beautiful setting. Short's Brewing Company and Toonie's Steak House were the only restaurants we went to in the area (Bellaire), and both were good. We also enjoyed Dead Man's Hill, and Hartwick Pines State Park was wonderful. The price was right and if we ever want to be in that area again, we definitely would return.
