Peaceful, Tranquil, RELAXING!

5 of 5
Harold's Cabin was the perfect place to get away and relax. Particularly in the winter, the cabin is pretty isolated, so you really feel like you have time to THINK! The fireplace keeps the cabin at a perfect temperature, and the bed is extremely cozy. I loved the little touches that Kathy left: the cinnamon tea, coconut body wash, the local information (you can tell she knows the area!). Within a short drive, you can get into town (Don's Drive-In is close, and the food is terrific!). Downtown Traverse City was about 30 minutes for me, and this was under pretty bad road conditions. It was awesome to experience Traverse City in the winter; it was quiet, but everything was open. I went to the Bayou Theatre, which I strongly recommend -- the staff is extremely nice and welcoming, and the theatre is adorable and cozy. Also drove up to the Old Mission Lighthouse, about an hour drive in the weather, but so worth it! Along the way, you will drive next to the Bay and pass vineyards and road stands selling cherries, syrup, etc. Overall, a wonderful experience - can't wait to return in the summer!

Wonderful Weekend Away!

5 of 5
We were a group of 13 friends that stayed at Parker's Cozy Cabin for two nights. The cabin was very clean and well furnished in the kitchen, a lot of extra blankets, and much more that made it seem like home. We weren't able to spend time outdoors because it was a very cold weekend. It would have been fun to explore the area. So we stayed inside, played games and celebrated 3 of the guys turning 50. The owner was very nice to work with and answered my questions promptly. It worked out good that the kids could spend time in the nicely furnished basement. I know everyone was happy with this place and I would definitely refer this cabin to other people. In fact I'd like to go again sometime in the future. No complaints whatsoever!

Perfect Getaway

5 of 5
My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights. We were just looking for a cozy cabin this winter so that we could relax and enjoy beautiful scenery. Perfect location on the river! In the evening we looked out the windows and spotted 2 deer just before sunset. So peaceful and breathtaking! The decor is so tastefully done! We were greeted with a bottle of wine and notes around the cabin guiding us around so that we could find what we needed. Can't wait to return! We will do so this spring and summer!
