Just perfect!

Thank you so much for such a great vacation! This is our 6th year as an extended family and our best yet! We had plenty of space for family dinners, movie nights, bonfires and pack-and-plays :) The weather couldn't have been better! It really is like having your own private lake, it was so peaceful and quiet. The cottages were well stocked with linens and bath towels and well as kitchen accessories. Thanks again for such a great time, we look forward to next year! PS. the side room was a fantastic location to set up our dog cages! Pet owners dream!!!

Loved this place & location!

We had a chance to take a multi-generational vacation (grandparents, parents, crazy grandboys) and chose Traverse City as a destination. Finding this "cabin" just made the entire week perfect. The setting is incredible with different views from every direction on the property. The river is right there begging visitors to either relax and watch it pass by or use the kayaks and explore each turn. There is a fabulous creek running alongside the house with a soothing waterfall, the gazebo, woods, and amazing firepit waiting for a family to enjoy a beverage or two while making s'mores. The owner, Wayne, was wonderful to deal with. Evan made sure we were welcomed, comfortable and was just so informative about everything we could do in the area to make the most of our time in the Traverse City. He could not have been more responsive or accommodating. The house offered room for all of us to be together or spread out. The decks, screen room, two living rooms & a huge hot tub room along with 4 bedrooms and 3 baths with a completely stocked kitchen made this cabin feel like a dream come true. Did I mention the home also has 2 washers and 2 dryers!?! We had the best time hitting all the tourist type attractions in the area (lighthouse, stacking rocks, beaches, picnics, wineries, insane asylum shopping, Lucky Jack's Lazer tag and arcade, Sleeping Bear Dunes, kayaking the Boardman, tubing the Platte, shopping downtown, eating at the Mackinaw Brewing Company, Bubba's and the The Grand Traverse Pie Co., Tall Ship Sail, hiking in the woods, and more). All of this was made even better because we could come back home to this fabulous house. Make a memory here!

Fantastically relaxing!! Highly recommend!!

We stayed at the lodge during the week of the 4th of July! We had 18 people ranging in age from 10 months to 70 years old and we all had a wonderful time! The lodge has all the amenities of home and more! Pack your clothes, some food and your roasting sticks for the fire pit and you are all set! We enjoyed the huge wrap around porch that overlooks the river. It is especially peaceful in the morning while enjoying your coffee or while reading a nice book! We grilled hamburgers on the provided gas grill and were all able to eat together at the large table. The on site staff was very helpful in suggesting fishing spots and canoe liveries! While there we canoed the beautiful river. We were picked up at the lodge and were able to canoe straight back to the boating dock across the street! Very convenient! We also visited a little zoo down the road where we could feed the animals. Fun for all ages! The water was freezing, but that didn't stop the more daring teenagers from putting on their suits and going for a dip in the river or wading out to do some fishing. Ending the day around the campfire or sitting on the deck watching the sun fade away... Couldn't ask for a more relaxing getaway with all the comforts of home! We will definitely be making a return trip in the near future!
