Great place to stay!

5 of 5
This cabin is huge and luxurious. Everything we needed was already there: bedding, towels, dishes, and plenty of ways to entertain ourselves: billiards, tvs, jacuzzi, sauna, game systems, and internet. The owners were very professional. Their jacuzzi had frozen up and instead of leaving us without one, they rented one and had it on site for us. This probably cost them more than they made from us, but they were committed to delivering what they promise. Very cool. We'll be back for sure.

Perfect Getaway

5 of 5
Nine wonderful women all agreed that this was the perfect place for our annual getaway weekend. Cozy, warm, versatile...even on the coldest days of this long winter. Will go again!

Peaceful, Tranquil, RELAXING!

5 of 5
Harold's Cabin was the perfect place to get away and relax. Particularly in the winter, the cabin is pretty isolated, so you really feel like you have time to THINK! The fireplace keeps the cabin at a perfect temperature, and the bed is extremely cozy. I loved the little touches that Kathy left: the cinnamon tea, coconut body wash, the local information (you can tell she knows the area!). Within a short drive, you can get into town (Don's Drive-In is close, and the food is terrific!). Downtown Traverse City was about 30 minutes for me, and this was under pretty bad road conditions. It was awesome to experience Traverse City in the winter; it was quiet, but everything was open. I went to the Bayou Theatre, which I strongly recommend -- the staff is extremely nice and welcoming, and the theatre is adorable and cozy. Also drove up to the Old Mission Lighthouse, about an hour drive in the weather, but so worth it! Along the way, you will drive next to the Bay and pass vineyards and road stands selling cherries, syrup, etc. Overall, a wonderful experience - can't wait to return in the summer!
