NICE PLACE W/ GREAT LOCATION!

4 of 5
Rating Details: I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. I was very happy with the location. The vacation rental was very clean. The property manager was more than helpful. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall, nice rustic house w/ some modern day amenities. Boat is 7ft long- we rented a 9.9hp motor ($250/week) in Traverse City and it worked well. Things that could improve: beach area/backyard groomed a little more. Water was high so no beach. Lots of large rocks and a few cinder blocks at shoreline. Would recommend a deck be added to main level so you can step out and enjoy the breeze & view more often/easily. 2 people in our group have a hard time going down stairs. If this house had a deck - we would rent it every year. Basement could be cleaned a little better- cobwebs vacuumed in corners. We had 11 people stay so every bed was filled comfortably. Lake water was very clean & sub had a nice wooded feel. Manager responded on 7/8/2014: We will consider your good ideas. Thanks.

THOUGHTFULLY FURNISHED, AND OH SO COMFORTABLE!

5 of 5
The cabin was exactly as described online. We were delighted with how close the cabin was to the lake. My teens enjoyed being able to use the rowboat and paddle boat, and fish as much as they wished. The fishing action was great. We especially enjoyed catching the 12" perch! I was impressed with how the cabin provided so many comfortable amenities. It was definitely a cut above the state park cabins we've rented in the past. Not only were the beds clean and comfortable, and the towels plentiful and thick, but the owners had provided so many other thoughtful touches. The kitchen had all the comforts of home - even a waffle iron and a pastry blender! We enjoyed using the herbs and spices that were provided. Outdoors, the fire ring had ample seating for our family of six. Fire starters, roasting sticks, and insect repellant were provided. There was even a stand where we could assemble our somemores! We enjoyed the wildlife too. We found a spotted salamander, a large snapping turtle, and lots of birds. We even saw a porcupine. At night, the stars were spectacular. We enjoyed the cabin's proximity to Sleeping Bear Dunes (1 1/2 hours) and Ludington State Park (1 hour). The owners were caring and responsive to questions. On the drive home, I was delighted to discover that our security deposit had already been refunded. We would definitely recommend Agape Acres to anyone wanting a northern Michigan get-away!

SHORELINE PINES--JUNE 2014

5 of 5
Rating Details: I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. I was very happy with the location. The vacation rental was very clean. The property manager was very helpful. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Lovely, new Master bedroom with firm King size bed, ceiling fan, new large bath with nice tub and shower, big closets and a full sliding door for ventilation. The deck had new Adirondack chairs,Weber grill, lightweight chairs by the fire pit that were comfortable. There was a great three season room leading out to the deck that had many windows and was delightful for getting a nice breeze. The flat screen TV was a nice touch with the internet hook up. The kitchen was older but adequate with a new, large refrigerator. The water was clear and our weather was good-a ladder would be nice from the dock. As it was just my wife and myself, we did not use either of the other two older bedrooms and we left the doors closed, but they might be hot in the summer without A/C, so a couple of floor fans might be nice for them. The area was very peaceful and quiet-except for our next door neighbor to the south who was building a house during our stay. He should be done before the end of the year and we would certainly like to come back next year.
