Loved this place & location!

5 of 5
We had a chance to take a multi-generational vacation (grandparents, parents, crazy grandboys) and chose Traverse City as a destination. Finding this "cabin" just made the entire week perfect. The setting is incredible with different views from every direction on the property. The river is right there begging visitors to either relax and watch it pass by or use the kayaks and explore each turn. There is a fabulous creek running alongside the house with a soothing waterfall, the gazebo, woods, and amazing firepit waiting for a family to enjoy a beverage or two while making s'mores. The owner, Wayne, was wonderful to deal with. Evan made sure we were welcomed, comfortable and was just so informative about everything we could do in the area to make the most of our time in the Traverse City. He could not have been more responsive or accommodating. The house offered room for all of us to be together or spread out. The decks, screen room, two living rooms & a huge hot tub room along with 4 bedrooms and 3 baths with a completely stocked kitchen made this cabin feel like a dream come true. Did I mention the home also has 2 washers and 2 dryers!?! We had the best time hitting all the tourist type attractions in the area (lighthouse, stacking rocks, beaches, picnics, wineries, insane asylum shopping, Lucky Jack's Lazer tag and arcade, Sleeping Bear Dunes, kayaking the Boardman, tubing the Platte, shopping downtown, eating at the Mackinaw Brewing Company, Bubba's and the The Grand Traverse Pie Co., Tall Ship Sail, hiking in the woods, and more). All of this was made even better because we could come back home to this fabulous house. Make a memory here!

South End Hideaway review

4 of 5
Rating Details: I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. I was more than happy with the location. The vacation rental was very clean. The property manager was very helpful. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Perfect sized property for my family of three teenagers, mom/dad. Beautiful view, nice lake side yard/deck. Front house very close to busy street which led to a fair amount of noise. Online pictures showed a Pinball machine in the living room which was exciting to us however, it was not in the house when we arrived.:( Clean (except for a lingering burnt popcorn smell) and nicely stocked , even included Marshmallow roasting spikes and two natural gas grills! Good location close to two grocery stores, gas station, fast food and a couple of local resturants. We had GREAT experiences at The Hofbrau and Buds in Interlochen.

Great family reunion vacation home & spot!

4 of 5
We loved our stay at Intermediate Lake this summer! This home was very well equipped (except for the small bar-b-q which I think they are replacing!) ...from the hot tub, to the lawn play area for kids/adults alike, to the fire pit (firewood provided!) to the pontoon boat (we rented this also--so glad we did!)....the mornings were beautiful on the lake...we would all just sit and talk in the sun room or on the deck (plenty of seating/chairs, too, which is a plus!) --what a view, and so quiet! We rented a ski boat on nearby Torch Lake for one day--that was a blast. The rental agent, Jane, was fabulous and super responsive to all of our questions or needs... Only downside was that several of our family ended up with swimmer's itch--we hadn't heard of it and it is preventable...so please read up on it and come prepared if you have sensitive skin (and don't feed the ducks!)
