Wonderful property - met all of our needs

5 of 5
Our family has been vacationing in Muskegon for several years. This year my parents decided they would like to join us. Since we also now have a third child, we realized we needed more room to accommodate all of us and Plum Hollow met our needs perfectly. There really isn't anything that Stan and Annie didn't think of. Stan met us upon our arrival and showed us around the house. There was a bowl of cherries in the refrigerator and a basket of homemade muffins on the dining room table. The dining room and all three bedrooms had a vase of fresh flowers. The house itself was spotlessly clean (as a mother of a child who spends a lot of time crawling, this is a huge plus!). Stan also provided us with beach chairs, some beach toys, and a cooler, which were put to use during our week-long stay. The kitchen was fully-stocked, down to the spices and cooking oils. There were plenty of bath towels (there were 7 of us!). They also had plenty of beach towels available. Stan and Annie even provided laundry detergent for our use. The master bedroom has a small half-bath, and the sink is in the bedroom. Even laid out in this manner, we had plenty of room to set up a Pack and Play for our youngest to sleep in. The smaller bedroom with the trundle bed was perfect for our eldest and middle child (ages 11 and 4 1/2). The other bedroom was quite large and slightly separated from the other two bedrooms (off of the dining room), affording my parents a little additional privacy. When eating in, we had plenty of room for all of us to sit around the dining room table. All of that aside, I think we were all in agreement that the Malt Shop was our favorite room in the house. We ate breakfast out there and played board games (which were also provided). The location of the property is also perfect. We had deer in the yard on more than one occasion, as well as many different types of birds, and some chipmunks. The beach is within walking distance and the neighborhood is quiet (it was a cool week while we were there and we kept the windows open the entire week). The highway is close by, and the Farmer's Market (this is a must), many wonderful restaurants (try the Cherokee for breakfast), and several tourist spots, are all within a ten minute (or less) drive. We would definitely stay here again!

Perfectly wonderful memories for all.

From the moment we arrived and saw how clean the cottage was and how first class were all of the furnishings, especially in the kitchen, we knew we had made a right choice. We had 6 children with us, ages 8 and under. They loved the lake and nearness of Twin Lake park. With joke night, story night, smores night and fireworks night the firepit was greatly enjoyed. Lake MI beach, Dune rides and Grand Haven lights are just minutes away. We're going back in 2016!
