Nice place in a cool spot!

5 of 5
My friends and I had a great time at this house. The owner was responsive to emails and made himself accessible via phone. The location is pretty cool with it being right on the lake (frozen at the time!) and is close to the Muskegon winter sports complex and a couple of local breweries, which we took advantage of during our stay. There is plenty of space and everything was very clean and tidy when we arrived. When there ended up being minor damages during our say (sorry!) the owner was upfront with his assessment and fair in his charges.

Charming and comfortable cottages

5 of 5
Our extended family of 10 had a great time staying at both Plum Hollow and Peddler's Paradise cottages. We easily split our group between the two cottages so we all had comfortable places to sleep and spots to go for "alone" time, awhile always being able to be together, too. The grandkids loved being together in the big living room to play or to watch the TV. We all took the short walk to Pere Marquette or put 'the beach chairs and toys and towels into the car for the 2 minute drive to the beach near the channel. We had lovely days on the beach where the kids played in the water or built sand castles in the sand. Lake Michigan is always beautiful. The cottages were cozy, comfortable and well stocked. We used the out door gas grill for evening cookouts and the inside stoves for making pancakes in the morning. It was great to have enough bathrooms, showers for the gang of us. With kids, it was good that the street was quiet and there was a big yard for the kids to run and play in. We all loved having the 15 wild turkeys visit us everyday! Thanks Stan & Annie for making these lovely cottages available. M Ross

Truly Wonderful place

5 of 5
Stan and Annie have made their cottages a home away from home. We had both cottages for our family of 10. Flowers, muffins and cherries greeted us. Our 3 year old granddaughter Abby said "I have flowers in my room cause I'm a girl..she loved it. The cottages are well represented by the photos -- the yard was terrific for the kids-13, 10 7 and 3. Stan had boogie boards and an inner tube for the kids and LOTS of beach toys. We had fire for smores at night in the fire pit..enjoyed the squirrels coming for their corn. Flowers in pots everywhere were lovely. Stan nicknamed us KC (for Karolyn and Carlo) and the Sunshine Family--we truly enjoyed the area. So much to do -- and Muskegon has made their city family friendly with parks everywhere..free parking at the beach too. We did the dunes, the amusement park and celebrated a 13th birthday at a terrific pizza restaurant that Stan recommended. He is available for advice at all times. I would come back here again--we loved it all.
