Nice place in a cool spot!

5 of 5
My friends and I had a great time at this house. The owner was responsive to emails and made himself accessible via phone. The location is pretty cool with it being right on the lake (frozen at the time!) and is close to the Muskegon winter sports complex and a couple of local breweries, which we took advantage of during our stay. There is plenty of space and everything was very clean and tidy when we arrived. When there ended up being minor damages during our say (sorry!) the owner was upfront with his assessment and fair in his charges.

Charming and comfortable cottages

5 of 5
Our extended family of 10 had a great time staying at both Plum Hollow and Peddler's Paradise cottages. We easily split our group between the two cottages so we all had comfortable places to sleep and spots to go for "alone" time, awhile always being able to be together, too. The grandkids loved being together in the big living room to play or to watch the TV. We all took the short walk to Pere Marquette or put 'the beach chairs and toys and towels into the car for the 2 minute drive to the beach near the channel. We had lovely days on the beach where the kids played in the water or built sand castles in the sand. Lake Michigan is always beautiful. The cottages were cozy, comfortable and well stocked. We used the out door gas grill for evening cookouts and the inside stoves for making pancakes in the morning. It was great to have enough bathrooms, showers for the gang of us. With kids, it was good that the street was quiet and there was a big yard for the kids to run and play in. We all loved having the 15 wild turkeys visit us everyday! Thanks Stan & Annie for making these lovely cottages available. M Ross

Wonderful vacation

5 of 5
Our family of four enjoyed the three nights we spent at the Eagles Nest on our way to Chicago. The place was immaculate and very close to the amazing beach nearby. Although you could easily walk, we drove in order to have easy access to beach toys etc. We were only there for three days but we managed to do more than just spend time at the beach. We loved lounging at the cottage and spending the evenings by the fire. We also went to the USS Silversides submarine museum which the whole family enjoyed. We went to Ryke's bakery for their famous doughnuts and baked goods. We went to the Lakeside Emporium which is a very impressive candy store. We ate at Dockers and Bernie O's Pizza which were both excellent places to eat. On our last night we went to Getty's Drive In which was only $5.00 per person on Tuesday nights and was a very fun night. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a cozy and clean place to stay. It is close to one of the nicest beaches I have ever been to. Jane is also wonderful to deal with and is very happy to answer any questions about what the area has to offer.
