Perfect Vacation Getaway

5 of 5
We stayed at Bent Pines for a week in the early fall. We also rented Sue and Don's smaller cottage "Good Times Two". We hosted a family reunion with family coming from Massachusetts, New York, Florida and California as well as Michigan. We had the most fabulous week. Everyone enjoyed the beautiful lake setting and the lovely lake homes. We had plenty of room, plenty of parking and everyone slept comfortably. We had everything we needed to have an amazing week. We witnessed some of the most beautiful sunsets I have ever seen. We all have happy memories of starry nights on the beach, storytelling around a blazing bonfire and morning and evening walks along the lake shore. We had a wonderful family get together and will never forget the memories we made at this beautiful vacation retreat. Thanks Don and Sue for sharing your beautiful homes with us. Everything was perfect. We highly recommend staying at the Bent Pines and Good Times Two! We would love to come back again and so would our family!

Great Stay with family

5 of 5
We loved our stay at this home. As soon as we stepped in I felt the nostalgia of being on an "Up North" vacation as a kid. I am so glad my boys will have the same memories thanks to this cottage! The beach was incredible and the beds were very comfortable. As a family of four we were actually unable to enjoy all that this place has to offer. There are multiple spaces like the “bungalow”, the “Pool room” and just some great deck areas to sit and enjoy. There are no steps to the beach you walk right out the lower level, off the deck and across the sand (No Rocks!) The cottage has a very nostalgic feel, although a little dated (which we actually loved), it is in very good condition. So here are few things that will help enhance your stay: It is a bit of a drive to town, which again was a plus for us. When arriving you have a great drive down a private wooded drive for a bit. You're not lost just keep going and enjoy it. By about 2pm, close the shades on the front of the cottage, it will get warm in there if you don't, but you SHOULD be at the beach anyway! Other than that, for the price it is a great place, safe, quiet and fun!! We will be coming back!

Lake Michigan beauty!

5 of 5
We just returned from what was our fourth stay at this lovely vacation home. Our family has stayed in many vacation rentals in the past and this one is one of our favorites. The beautiful sandy beaches, the sunsets and beach walks will be remembered for years to come. The location can't be beat and the owner is always quick to respond to any questions we have. Although we have vacationed in the area many times we continue to find new adventures. Our three teenage girls look forward to this trip all year. The bike ride from Montague to Country Dairy for ice cream was a new favorite this year (on rented bikes from the Book Nook and Java shop in Montague). We would highly recommend this property and have treasured our family trips to this cottage in the past!
