Our family had a FANTASTIC stay at the Pier House.

              5 of 5
Our family had a FANTASTIC stay at the Pier House. Stan and Linda made sure everything was in place when we arrived and they were so accommodating! The place was exceptionally clean and well appointed, even though it was recently built. For example, there were great board games, plenty of playing cards, and the Sonos speaker system was awesome. Everyone in the family loved the game room and we spent many late nights having some serious foosball, ping pong, and billiards games. Also, everything we needed was there, from paper plates and napkins, coffee, and a griddle for pancakes! When Stan said, "I'll get the small stuff," he really did get the small (and big) stuff. Thank you! Our family members loved using the kayaks and paddle boards on the lake. Also, the extra bikes Stan rounded up really helped when our large group wanted to ride into town. The fire pits were great. While the kids enjoyed the fire at the beach, the older adults roasted marshmallows at the fire pit by the house. All of us loved hearing the Lake Michigan surf at night and many of us saw shooting stars. Certainly, the volleyball court was great. We had some good matches and enjoyed jumping in the water afterwards. Our family took advantage of the whole house. The three levels of the deck were great, the morning quiet time on the front porch was peaceful, and relaxing on the upstairs and downstairs rooms were great places for reading and relaxing. Having the two dishwashers was a huge plus and there were always enough clean dishes for everyone. The family members agreed that this has been the nicest house we have stayed in over the years for our reunion gatherings. We HIGHLY recommend this house for any large family looking to enjoy time together, view and use beautiful Lake Michigan, and just relax. Thank you Stan and Linda! The Poeskes

              Beautiful Farmhouse!

              5 of 5
We had a great stay at Kim's farmhouse. The pictures of the house on the website do not do it justice! The home was perfectly clean and immaculately decorated with period pieces. The property is quiet and relaxing. Kim was very warm and welcoming (even leaving making sure there was enough coffee for our first morning, and fresh greens from her garden), and super-easy to work with. Thanks for a great stay and we hope to come back again!

              A Slice of Heaven!

              5 of 5
The night we arrived, our family walked in to what would be our own gorgeous, spacious and oh-so-comfortable getaway home for the next few days, and instantly agreed we needed to return next year. On the final day, we left feeling the time was too short, and sad to go. Our family included 2 adult children, their spouses and children, one 18-year old, a cousin and a friend. We rarely needed to leave the property (except for those who took our boat out to go fishing), because there was an abundance of things to do to fill our days as we all reconnected and left our busy lives on the road. The gazebo offered a special place for snoozing to the sound of the lake against beach, the children had ample room to play inside and out, the teens claimed the lower level "man cave", my husband sampled almost every comfortable chair (there were too many for him to try in our "limited time") when he wasn't fishing. And did I mention how magical it was to reminisce in front of the stone fire pit, while sipping wine and indulging on smores? On several nights, the full moon cast a mirror image on the lake, which I could see from our bedroom. And very early on the last day, while the house slept, my husband and I spotted a lone deer gently grazing in view. What a perfect ending! Our hosts, Stan and Linda, couldn't have been more gracious and helpful for anything we needed, which wasn't much, because they thought of everything and the house was better stocked with creature comforts and gadgets than we could have imagined! And many thanks to their sidekick, Gus (a black lab), who was happy to give hugs. See you next year! Tina & Jeff
