We had a wonderful reunion with a group of friends from undergraduate and graduate school days. The Lake Home is truly a remarkable home with outstanding views of Lake Michigan. Everything about the home is first class. Stan and Linda (the owners and hosts) do everything possible to make you feel welcome. They are very attentive and helpful if you have any questions or problems. I cannot overstate the quality of the home and the beauty of the location. We had a great time and look forward to returning. Thank you, Stan and Linda!

Perfect for our large family!

5 of 5
What a wonderful home! We had 7 adults and 6 children under six years old, and this home was spacious, beautiful, and met all our needs for safety and fun. The layout was perfect for gathering as a family, yet we had the option of so many seating areas that we never felt cramped. The deck and screened porch were perfect for relaxing and looking out at the water. Safety with all the young children was very important to us, so the screened porch was the perfect solution when we weren't in the water. The house was well stocked. We brought our own hand soaps, detergent, baking supplies, etc., only to find that they had it all for us. The kitchen had all the appliances and gadgets we needed, too. It was also very clean upon arrival. The stairs to the water were a bit much for some of the adults, but the kids had no problems. In fact, the parents preferred the separation for safety purposes. Most of the day we were the only ones on the beach, and it was wonderful! We could watch the sunset, have a nice fire, and enjoy the water as a family with no interruptions. The wifi didn't have a very strong signal, but I suppose we could look at it as an opportunity to disconnect for the week! We loved every minute, and would 100% recommend this home.

Our family had a FANTASTIC stay at the Pier House.

5 of 5
Our family had a FANTASTIC stay at the Pier House. Stan and Linda made sure everything was in place when we arrived and they were so accommodating! The place was exceptionally clean and well appointed, even though it was recently built. For example, there were great board games, plenty of playing cards, and the Sonos speaker system was awesome. Everyone in the family loved the game room and we spent many late nights having some serious foosball, ping pong, and billiards games. Also, everything we needed was there, from paper plates and napkins, coffee, and a griddle for pancakes! When Stan said, "I'll get the small stuff," he really did get the small (and big) stuff. Thank you! Our family members loved using the kayaks and paddle boards on the lake. Also, the extra bikes Stan rounded up really helped when our large group wanted to ride into town. The fire pits were great. While the kids enjoyed the fire at the beach, the older adults roasted marshmallows at the fire pit by the house. All of us loved hearing the Lake Michigan surf at night and many of us saw shooting stars. Certainly, the volleyball court was great. We had some good matches and enjoyed jumping in the water afterwards. Our family took advantage of the whole house. The three levels of the deck were great, the morning quiet time on the front porch was peaceful, and relaxing on the upstairs and downstairs rooms were great places for reading and relaxing. Having the two dishwashers was a huge plus and there were always enough clean dishes for everyone. The family members agreed that this has been the nicest house we have stayed in over the years for our reunion gatherings. We HIGHLY recommend this house for any large family looking to enjoy time together, view and use beautiful Lake Michigan, and just relax. Thank you Stan and Linda! The Poeskes
