STUNNING HOME, BREATH TAKING VIEW, BEST TIME EVER!

5 of 5
Our family of twelve, ranging in ages 9 thru 67, vacations together each summer. The moment we walked into the PIER HOUSE the stunning view of Lake Michigan just took our collective breaths away. This was the ONE..our forever vacation home. There is nothing you could want for in this home. The gracious owners have thought of everything . Our grandchildren all had their own spaces inside and their own kayaks, paddle boards outside. There was nothing to rent, to purchase, other than our food. I wish we could have stayed much longer, Our Grandchildren even asked us if we would please purchase this home. The game room was great, some challenging ping pong and foosball happened in there! The kitchen was a delight, we all want two dishwashers now. The linens very nice….and the most humorous words of praise I heard were "even the toilet paper is nice and soft!!! If there is an opening for the Pier House, snap it up, it will not last long!

A Great Place for a Family Beach Vacation

5 of 5
This is a wonderful house and location to host a family vacation on Lake Michigan. The house is beautifully constructed, clean, and in excellent condition. The owners go to a great deal of effort to make sure that their guests are comfortable for their entire stay. They provide extensive written directions for operating all appliances, HVAC system, and for beach usage. If you happen to be lucky to have them as your neighbors in the small house behind the beach house, they will personally answer any questions you may have or help you with other issues that may arise. The house is designed with bedrooms on three floors each having a full bath which gives an extended family plenty of room and privacy. The open side deck and screened-in beach-facing deck are great places to relax and hang out. The beach is well equipped with a number of chairs as well as a fire pit. For children, besides the L. Michigan activities, the Double JJ Resort nearby (15-20 min drive) offers a number "cowboy-oriented" activities for children including a petting zoo, craft projects, and horseback riding. You can also catch a rodeo if your timing is right. The golf course at the Double JJ is beautiful but quite challenging. Only downside, is that the WiFi is a bit weak and slow. (But why not disconnect for a day or two?) If you do need a better internet connection, you are better off traveling into Montague and using the free WiFi at the Book Nook and Java Shop on Montague's main drag.

Perfect Michigan Vacation!

5 of 5
We traveled from California to meet my family who still lives in Detroit for a week at Big Blu. The house is immaculate, and very well done. It has everything you could ever want or ask for. The kids (we had 5 in total) made a non-stop loop from the back porch to the awesome beach below. House - Perfect. Out of a magazine. Beach - Excellent. Nice and sandy (no rocks)! View - Tremendous. Different amazing sunset each night. You have to be prepared to make a trek into town if you want to go to dinner or the store. You are out a ways, but that really only makes the setting all the better. So beautiful. Make me proud to be from Michigan. Lastly, I must mention the house manager, Rhonda. She is the sweetest and most professional person I have ever met in this business. She was ready and willing to help with any questions or smallest of problems. She and her daughter actually drove me back to the Muskegon airport on Saturday morning. That is service! Thanks Rhonda!
