Perfect Vacation Getaway

5 of 5
We stayed at Bent Pines for a week in the early fall. We also rented Sue and Don's smaller cottage "Good Times Two". We hosted a family reunion with family coming from Massachusetts, New York, Florida and California as well as Michigan. We had the most fabulous week. Everyone enjoyed the beautiful lake setting and the lovely lake homes. We had plenty of room, plenty of parking and everyone slept comfortably. We had everything we needed to have an amazing week. We witnessed some of the most beautiful sunsets I have ever seen. We all have happy memories of starry nights on the beach, storytelling around a blazing bonfire and morning and evening walks along the lake shore. We had a wonderful family get together and will never forget the memories we made at this beautiful vacation retreat. Thanks Don and Sue for sharing your beautiful homes with us. Everything was perfect. We highly recommend staying at the Bent Pines and Good Times Two! We would love to come back again and so would our family!

very friendly, clean and cozy, a lot of air

5 of 5
this was our 2nd time. I like the place a lot. The weather was OK: 2 rainy days, 2 warm days and 2 cold sunny days. But we enjoyed our time anyway: kayaking on White River - the best, warm dunes- you can stay on the beach all day and feel fresh! Fresh fried perch at the restaurant across the road was my favorite. And everything was friendly to our dog -very important. This is a very good place for vacation.

Our family had a FANTASTIC stay at the Pier House.

5 of 5
Our family had a FANTASTIC stay at the Pier House. Stan and Linda made sure everything was in place when we arrived and they were so accommodating! The place was exceptionally clean and well appointed, even though it was recently built. For example, there were great board games, plenty of playing cards, and the Sonos speaker system was awesome. Everyone in the family loved the game room and we spent many late nights having some serious foosball, ping pong, and billiards games. Also, everything we needed was there, from paper plates and napkins, coffee, and a griddle for pancakes! When Stan said, "I'll get the small stuff," he really did get the small (and big) stuff. Thank you! Our family members loved using the kayaks and paddle boards on the lake. Also, the extra bikes Stan rounded up really helped when our large group wanted to ride into town. The fire pits were great. While the kids enjoyed the fire at the beach, the older adults roasted marshmallows at the fire pit by the house. All of us loved hearing the Lake Michigan surf at night and many of us saw shooting stars. Certainly, the volleyball court was great. We had some good matches and enjoyed jumping in the water afterwards. Our family took advantage of the whole house. The three levels of the deck were great, the morning quiet time on the front porch was peaceful, and relaxing on the upstairs and downstairs rooms were great places for reading and relaxing. Having the two dishwashers was a huge plus and there were always enough clean dishes for everyone. The family members agreed that this has been the nicest house we have stayed in over the years for our reunion gatherings. We HIGHLY recommend this house for any large family looking to enjoy time together, view and use beautiful Lake Michigan, and just relax. Thank you Stan and Linda! The Poeskes
