Truly a breath of fresh Air

5 of 5
From the moment we stepped out if the car, that great Lake Michigan air was so noticeably clean and fresh....refreshing! Parking the car we faced a sand hill with dune grass just across the street. Climb the hill and voila!! There's Lake Michigan ....gorgeous sandy beach for seemingly miles. Step toward the entry door and you see a waterway with many boat docks....large boats. Stepping into the condo, the bright airy peaceful feeling continues as you can look out the many front windows and see both parked boats and those coming and going. The condo itself is modern, clean, and very very well equipped. From beach chairs and umbrella, to deck chairs and umbrella, a great gas grill, sand and water toys, beach towels, every possible kitchen utensil you could ever need....great gas fireplace.. And so much more . The bedroom I stayed in (downstairs) had a very nice queen sized mattress. Great sleeping with fresh air coming off the lake! The Master bedroom upstairs was very nice and had a great view of Lake Michigan , with an en suite bathroom. Peaceful, joyful and a great getaway! I cannot wait to go back!

Walking distance to Lake Michigan

5 of 5
The location is great for day trips or hanging out around the cabin's location. We brought our own kayaks and explored the Big Manistee River. A trip up to Kaleva to see the Bottle House was perfect for a rainy day; lunch at Lenz's that day was yummy. The host, Dave, is very personable and quick to offer suggestions for kayaking and canoeing if asked. The cabin has a lot of beds so 10 people could easily sleep there but I was glad it was only the three of us. It allowed us to spread out. The Bungalow Restaurant is our recommendation for a great meal.

Great unit, Good location.

5 of 5
Great unit with lots of space. Upstairs has two bedrooms (one with a queen and the other with twin bunks and a full) and a bathroom. Basement level has a queen bed and entertainment area, along with laundry. All three levels have either a patio or balcony with a harbor view. (You can *almost* get a complete sunset view from the highest patio, but it is slightly obscured). Unit was very clean and in great shape. Full kitchen with all appliances and utensils. TV with Dish in the family room and a smaller TV downstairs with a Wii for the kids. It's within walking distance to a really nice beach and playground as well as a walk-out pier with a lighthouse. It's also not far from downtown Manistee. Didn't have a chance to check out the clubhouse on this trip, but that has pools (indoor and outdoor) as well as fitness rooms. All in all, no complaints. Everything worked as it should and working with the owner Jim was hassle-free. Thanks for allow us to stay at your place!
