THE PERFECT GETAWAY!

5 of 5
Perfect location, right across the street from the City park and Lake Michigan. Picnic and cookout in this beautiful park. We fished on Lake Hamlin which is just about a 10 minute drive, large gorgeous lake. You can walk to the Marina where we dined one evening and watched the Badger come into port.Home was very clean, new kitchen and appliances as well as new bedding. Sit on the living room couch and enjoy a morning cup of coffee with a picturesque view of Lake Michigan! Would definitely rent again.

BEAUTIFUL AND SPACIOUS AND EVERYTHING IN BETWEEN

5 of 5
There is so much about this property that completed our vacation. First off, the owners were amazing to work with. Crystal was prompt with her emails and continued to stay in touch with us the whole week. She was kind and considerate of our needs to keep us satisfied and comfortable with our stay. Next, the view of the home and the lake from the bluff took our breaths away from the moment we pulled into the driveway until the day we left. The house itself provided plenty of room for 16 people to mingle. Even after our extended family left on Memorial Day, the house still provided the perfect space for my husband and I and our two toddlers and infant. It was not too big for 2 active children and yet not too small for a gathering. The house has two dishwashers which unexpectedly came in so handy :). At last the great outdoors! There is a sandbox outside for the kids to play in and a fire pit for nightly bonfires. Then of course there are the steps down to the private beach. To be truthful, the stairs may be a little difficult at first for anyone with a fear of heights. But once we stepped off that last step and had our feet in the sand we forgot about the walk we took to get to the beach. After the first trek down and up the stairs it became easier each time, and we started to use the stairs as our workout regimen :) Overall the property provided our family with a beautiful, clean, fun, and spacious place to relax and make memories. The VIEW alone relieves all stress. Definitely worth the experience. And please for any future renters please take care of the place during your stay. We plan to return and would love to see the home still beautiful as when we vacationed there.

3RD STRAIGHT YEAR!

4 of 5
My family and I have stayed for a week for the past 2years and loved the experience. We're getting ready for year number 3. Not a lot of amenities, but for the price it far exceeded our expectations. The "Hideout" room is a big hit with my kids and a fort/bedroom and we had my wife's friend and her 3 boys stay with us for a couple of days last year as well. All were comfortable and the kitchen easily provided ample breakfast and dinner prep space. The best feature is obviously the location...right by one of the best city beaches in the midwest and minutes from the State Park (one of the best places on earth) Downtown is blocks away, especially the House of Flavors ice cream store which became a nightly habit quickly. Not luxurious, but very functional. If you want beach-front and luxury than you should be prepared to drop at least another 1,000 dollars. For the price, one of the best values for a vacation I've ever had. The fact that we are looking forward to our 3rd straight year says it all!
