Great, Affordable Getaway

5 of 5
We were so pleased with our accomodations -- they exceeded our expectations. The cottage interior is cozy and comfortable, done in" pure Michigan" knotty pine; the full-size kitchen and outdoor grill are perfect for enjoying local foods your way (but if cooking's not your thing, Bud's and The Hofbrau in Interlochen are two great casual dining options); the heating system worked well on the chilly weekend of our stay; ditto the nice hot water, something we don't always experience Iin rentals. The bedrooms were small but comfortable. There's a nice view of and easy access to quiet Bass Lake. The property is just minutes away from Interlochen and is also a convenient base camp for day trips to Benzie County, the Leelanau Peninsula and Traverse City. The only caution I'd offer about the property is to be careful using the rustic stairway down to the dock, just because one of us was nursing a temporary infirmity.

Amazing! Very satisfactory

The home was very clean and had everything you would need for a comfortable week away from home with 10 persons. We enjoyed the pontoon we rented from the owners that could. We walked every day and were amazed at the beautiful homes and shaded forest on our street. We also enjoyed nearby restaurants and the supermarket had good choices of food at reasonable prices. We have booked our week for next year.

The pictures listed do not demonstrate how spacious and nice this cottage is. Green Lake is also much larger than what the pictures show. There are a lot of pike and bass in the lake. The cottage is only 20 minutes away from Traverse City. We enjoyed shopping, dining, and gambling at Turtle Creek. Though during our stay the best part was the tranquil atmosphere that was provided by the breathing taking view and warm homey feeling. The cottage was clean and cozy. Everyone would enjoy their stay here. Joanne and Sylvia went out of their way to make sure the cottage was clean and that we had all the necessities that we needed. Thank you ladies for the wonderful vacation that provided us with wonderful memories. Can't wait to see you next year! Dan and Linda
