amazing stay

We had such a great time. It was a couples trip, four couples. The house was what we needed. The central AC was a nice added bonus. We didn't spend much time in the house however except for sleeping and some meal prep. The weather was perfect which allowed us to enjoy the water. The house really is right on the water. The dock is nice and the water isn't deep off the dock. The whole lake is kind of small but in a good way because it's quiet and there's not much going on. The water was very clean and clear. Good for swimming/floating around which was what we did all day. The back yard is huge. The fire pit was also perfect. Owners were very communicative and responsive. If we can get a similar group together next year and the dates work out, we would absolutely love to stay here again!!! Thanks!!

Very clean and cozy! The backyard was wonderful!

The house very clean and well maintained. The owners knew we were celebrating our 20th anniversary and left us a bottle of wine, which was really nice. We loved sitting on the back porch, enjoyed the fire pit and loved fishing off the dock. However we were disappointed with the lack of fish in the lake. (Which is not the fault of the owners.) There was four of us fishing and in four days we only caught 7 fish (6 was off the dock). We tried everything and couldn't find any fish anywhere in the lake. We enjoyed our rides on the pontoon. The neighborhood was very quiet. The owners were very quick answering our questions and concerns and easy to get a hold of! I would recommend this property to others. The backyard is fenced in all the way around and big. Which would be nice for families with small kids. They also left us menus for restaurants and a map of the area (which was helpful).

Great Place for relaxing vacation

5 of 5
My husband and two teenage girls had a wonderful relaxing week staying here. The porch affords lovely views, the paddle boat and kayaks were easily accessible, and the cottage is well stocked for cooking. I especially liked the birds in the area - two swans swam by every morning, we saw great blue herons and sand hill cranes too. My daughter is a runner, and she was able to run in a 7 mile loop on the roads around the lake. We also caught a lot of olympic coverage as there is a tv with satellite. We enjoyed going to Kalamazoo for a visit to Kalamazoo College and a trip to one of our favorite breweries - Bells. The food at Bells was surprisingly good. We also went to Oval beach on Lake Michigan one day. It is a great beach. All in all -- a relaxing stay.
