A TRULY WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE

5 of 5
I was recently traveling with my partner and mother-in-law on holiday for four days. My visit to Harbor Springs was absolutely delightful, and this rental was a big part of that experience. The unit overall was beautifully decorated, well appointed, and in mint condition. It also appeared to have been recently renovated from top to bottom, and it was obvious that the owners gave a lot of thought to almost every detail. The size of this property was just perfect for us as there was a wonderful master bedroom and a smaller second bedroom. The house was stocked with everything that one would need for a holiday and included many items that went up and beyond what one would expect to find in an average rental. In fact, a couple of days prior to my arrival, I had inquired about beach towels and chairs, and was informed that they did not come with the property. Upon arrival, the owners had purchased brand new beach towels and two Brookstone beach chairs just for our use, which we very much appreciated. Finally, the property is centrally located downtown, right off of Main Street. We found this to be ideal as we were near numerous restaurants and shops as well as the water. I would definitely consider renting this property again on my next visit to Harbor Springs and will have nothing but fond memories of my stay.

WEEKEND AWAY

5 of 5
We enjoyed our stay here in Harbor Springs. Everything was as expected and Patty was great to work with. Nice amenities - we enjoyed the weight room, hot tub and swimming pool. The drive around the shoreline of Lake Michigan was awesome.

A GREAT SUMMER RETREAT!

4 of 5
Four of us decided to leave the TX heat behind, and spend the month of August in MI. We're seniors and golfers (of sorts) and were interested in cooler temps, pretty scenery and comfortable places to read on our Kindles when we weren't out sightseeing. The Trillium cottage fit the bill! The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well equipped, (although we didn't put it to much of a test), and the weather was cooperative. We only had the AC on three days! Our favorite golf course was little Traverse Bay, a hilly course with lots of hills and views of the bay, and about 3 miles away. We are nine-hole players, and we found that nearly all of the courses had a twi-light nine-hole rate, including most of the Boyne courses. We played two of the Boyne courses next door to the cottage, and enjoyed them very much. We also played Crooked Tree which is hilly and pretty. The nine-hole rates aren't published, so you have to call the 800 central golf res number and they'll put you through to the pro shop. Favorite restaurants included Douglas Lake Bar and Grill, Little Traverse Bay Country Club, The Palette and Twisted Olive Cafe which are next door to one another in Petoskey, and Kilborn's Fish Restaurant outside of Harbor Springs. Be sure to have an olive burger someplace...they brought back fond memories of my teen years in Michigan! Be sure to take the Kilwin's Chocolate Factory tour in Petoskey, and whatever you do, DO NOT FAIL to try their salted caramel ice cream...to die for. The owners were very easy to deal with. The house is in good shape and well cared for. It was a great month!
