The Green House was the perfect place for our recent vacation. We were four adults and two children and we had more space than we really needed. The home was well stocked with linens, towels and kitchen supplies. The cooktop and oven, though old, worked very efficiently. It was great having extra refrigerators to keep beverages cold. I had trouble with the dishwasher, but my daughter quickly figured out how to make it work. The children were thrilled with the toys, books and especially the pool table. The steps to the beach were a little hard to maneuver, but it was well worth the effort. The private beach was a perfect size for sunbathing as well as playing in the sand. The weather was not entirely cooperative and as a result the beach seemed different each day. The people were friendly as we walked up and down the shoreline. The location, on a heavily wooded road, was great. It was secluded but not isolated. The location in general was perfect for us. Barely a mile down the road was a park/playground for when the temperature wasn't conducive to being on the beach. With only short drives we were able to visit, eat, and shop in South Haven, Saugatuck, Douglas, and Holland. I highly recommend the farmers' market, Kilwin's candy shop and Windmill Restaurant all in in Holland. Fennville itself is a tiny town with a great farm stand fairly close to the house. We did trek all the way to Grand Haven to see the lighthouse, which we found to be pretty disappointing. The property manager was helpful and friendly. She was quick to return phone messages and even checked in with us the day we arrived. I would certainly recommend this property to a friend or relative.
