I found the owner very easy to work with and very honest. Texting was the easiest way to keep in touch. I have two little ones and so her help baby-adapting the cottage really helped.
Lexington is a little forgotten town which is fully functional, and relaxing. Everything was in walking distance. You can get wifi at the marina, next door. The signal is strongest near the dock. There was a great park there for children. We found the stairs to the beach a little steep, but were able to access our beach easily from the marina, and block the stairs from the baby by using the outside furniture. Our private beach was great, with a nice shallow swimming area protected from the waves by the rocks nearby.
The cottage felt like a fully functinal house. The washer/drier was very useful, and the views of the ships outside our window were spectacular. There was a lovely bbq area-bring your own charcoal. There were three full bedrooms in the cottage. I especially liked the carpeting, which handled baby tumbles perfectly. There is a nice wrap-around window in the back so you can eat breakfast or sit up reading, with a great view of the lake. We brought our telescope, and there wasn't much light pollution out on the beach.
