This is our second stay at Nasha Hata, love this place. Close to Crystal Mte. for skiing, awhsome view of river. Rustic modern interior with all the comforts of home. Relaxing for the whole family. We'll be back for sure.

                        Wonderful property!

Our family spent four nights at the cottage and couldn't have been happier. It is very well equipped with everything you could possibly need and the location is great--walking distance to everything at crystal but far enough way to get a little peace and quiet. We traveled with four adults, two kids aged 3 and 4 and two toddlers under 2 and had plenty of space. The yard is great, the screened in porch is fantastic and we can't wait to return. Thank you, Pat & Barb!!

We are now nearing a decade of enjoyment with the Betsie River Getaway. Spending a week here each summer is a family tradition and one we don’t see ending anytime soon. We’ve enjoyed the cabin, the property and the associated amenities so much we work to introduce it to others in our family. This year my wife and I were unable to make to the cabin for the entire week but my folks were happy to jump in as the kids did not want to miss out on the trip. Rather than speaking of all one can do ‘Up North’ suffice it to say that this is centrally located to everything you’d want to do. Frankfort, Crystal Lake, Sleeping Bear Dunes to the West; Manistee, Luddington, Dune Rides to the South; Traverse City, Suttons Bay, that various peninsula’s and wineries to the North; and of course the Betsie River in the backyard and Crystal Mountain a mile down the road. The cabin is incredibly clean. I don’t know how they do it, but it is like walking into a five star hotel. They have apportioned it with everything you could think of needing (washer, dryer, pots, pans, dishes, grill – gas or charcoal) and thinks you wouldn’t think of (hammock, dock, bird feeders, waffle iron). The property is huge and with the trees you feel very secluded. Regular s’more creation is required and easily accomplished over the fire pit (a skill which I’ve not perfected – making fires, not s’mores – those are messy). Sitting on the deck, reading, and watching the birds – be the bluejays, woodpeckers, or humming birds – dine while the squirrels try to get the food and the chipmunks snatch what falls make for a wonderful afternoon. While the goal of any vacation is to leave work behind, I was unable to do so when we came back the following Friday to help them pack I had to spend the workday on the deck working. Best office ever! Had the birds, the sun, the breeze, no reception probs with my phone and the wifi worked better than most Panera’s. Finally Eric and Pat are incredible hosts. While you may never meet or see them their welcoming presence is evident and will be felt by all. From the kind e-mails in advance of a visit, the periodic updates on cabin improvements or area events, to the messages or gifts upon arrival. I cannot thank them enough for giving us this family tradition. While I’m in no rush to be older, our kids our now in high school, and I look forward to someday sharing this area with future generations.
