Great Place

5 of 5
We (my wife, three boys and I) stayed here for the July 4th week of 2014 and had a wonderful time. The cottage was very clean and well kept. The bathroom was clean with plenty of hot water and great pressure. Windows are on all sides of the cabin creating a nice cross breeze inside. No musty "cabin" smell which was a plus. Plenty of room inside and outside the cabin. The city of Cheboygan is close (10 mi) and the Bridge was only 25 miles away. The lake is clean and clear with a hard pebble bottom around the dock which was perfect for our kids. The shoreline has a gentle slope by the dock which was enjoyable for my 4 year old because it did not get too deep too fast. We enjoyed watching the Loons from the dock and fires in the evenings. We would come here again.

Week stay over the Holidays

5 of 5
This was a great place to stay and enjoy the winter activies of northern Michigan. If you love the feel of a real log home and breath taking views arcoss a snow covered lake, this is the place. There is plenty of space with large rooms and bath rooms. It is easy to get to right off M-33. Town it not too far off and the snowmobile trail is a mile up the road. The Ski resorts and Macinaw is not too far away also. There is also pleanty of room to park your snowmobile trailer and get in and out. One of the nicest places we have stayed in Michigan.

Northwoods Seclusion

This property is awesome! The pictures really don't do justice to the interior or the view. From the taxidermy to the pictures on the walls, it's practically like a museum of natural history- fantastic. Beautiful log furniture, gas fireplace, full length covered porches front and back- the works. The lakefront is great, especially if you have any "rock hounds" along. Lots of fossils if you have the patience to look. The kids really enjoyed the game room, and also watching the freighters pass by. We'll be back.
