Comfortable vacation home!

5 of 5
My husband and I rented the house for our family over graduation weekend. The house was great - they were completely comfortable there. It took them about 30 minutes to get into Ann Arbor for graduation, but it was well worth it. The house had everything we needed for the weekend, including everything from a gas BBQ, fire pit, and lots of serving plates to multiple kayaks and a row boat. It felt like home. While staying at the house, we visited downtown Brighton and, in the past, I've been to Island Lake Park. Brighton is a really nice, picturesque town with good restaurants. Island Lake Park is full of biking and running trails. The listing is accurate about the location , amenities, etc. The property was clean and well-maintained. The owners/managers, Dee and Jerry, were very nice and welcoming. I enjoyed the tour of the house they gave. I would definitely recommend the property to a friend. There are two small things I want to point out. First, there isn't really a lawn. The house is situated above the lake, so don't plan on playing Bocce Ball or anything like that. Second, there were lots of flying insects - they didn't bite, but insect repellent might be a must later in the summer. The latter is likely a problem at any lake house in the lower peninsula.
