RELAXING STAY ON PRIVATE BEACH

5 of 5
We very much enjoyed our stay at this well-appointed beach house. The decorations were attractive and furnishings comfortable. There were great ocean views from every room, cozy hammocks, and a quick walk to the large and relaxing pool. Beach access is also quite easy. Elena was kind in answering all our questions prior to arrival and then made sure the house was fully ready for us, and Sylvia, the housekeeper, was fantastic in making some meals and keeping the house clean each day. We brought our 7 month-old, 3 year old and a nanny. The pool is an ideal pool for children with sloped entrances, a shallow "wading" pool area, and then plenty of swimmable area for adults. The surf could be difficult for children depending on the time of year, but that's true of most places. We went to nearby Barra de Potosí (about 10 minutes drive) and rented a kayak as suggested by Elena--a great idea and worth the morning effort to see wildlife and the mangroves. The water there is also ideal for young children (shallow and clear on the lagoon side). Renting a car is very helpful unless you want utter seclusion. We drove in to Zihuatanejo or Ixtapa nearly every day. Shopping in Zihuatanejo is a lot of fun with the locals; we enjoyed the fish tacos at La Sirena Gorda. Ixtapa is more of a touristy resort area. The online pictures actually don't fully show how lovely and relaxing the home is. The other villas were empty during our week, so we had the entire grounds to ourselves. We will definitely consider returning to this lovely villa.

RELAX, UNWIND, AND ENJOY LIFE AT THIS RENTAL!

5 of 5
My wife and I stayed with a few our closest friends at this location and had the most amazing experience. The house is absolutely stunning, the views are amazing, and the staff become a part of your family. The food was incredible with traditional Mexican style flavors and was 100% made from scratch. We look forward to coming back in the future and bringing the kids to enjoy the house and the local culture.

THE VIEW REMINDED ME OF THE AMALFI COAST

5 of 5
From the moment our taxi drove up the steep hill to this condo resort, we knew we were going to have a great vacation. Beautiful tropical flowers were spilling out over every balcony and an infinity pool was right outside our door. The condo itself also didn't disappoint. It is large, spacious , very open- air, very modernly Mexican. The bedrooms are large with plenty of closet space and the kitchen is fully equipped with all modern appliances and enough room to cook and entertain. The dining area is on the huge outdoor terrace with a view that takes your breath away. It is an encompassing view of Zihuatanejo Bay with dozens of sailboats dotting the water and lush hills in the background. There are three full bathrooms and washer / dryer inside the apartment. This was a great feature for us, as we are a family of 5 ( 2 adults and 3 small kids) and being able to wash our beach clothes whenever we wanted was priceless. We used the pool every day and there was never anyone else in it the whole week we were there. The walk to the beach is an approximate 10 minute walk down a very steep hill. I would not recommend it for anyone with a disability or who tires easily, but my kids fared surprisingly well (they are ages. 6, 4, and 2), minimal complaining, probably because the reward was a stunning beach ( Playa la Ropa) with crystal clear warm water at the end, and an ice cream vendor with the most delicious limon or coconut ice cream constantly passing by! The condo is also a less than 10 minute ride into town, by either taxi (approximately 40 pesos) or by bus (approx 7 pesos per adult )which picks up right in front of the resort. The town has many yummy local dining spots with every type of local cuisine, and a huge outdoor market which sells everything from meat and produce and the local fish catches of the day, to clothes, housewares, and souvenirs galore. I would highly recommend Zihuatanejo and this condo resort to anyone who is looking for the more traditional Mexican experience. There are no high -rise hotels here, just many lovely low-rise resorts carved into the cliffs, uncrowded beaches, warm friendly people and much local charm.
