the perfect beach hideaway

5 of 5
My husband & I loved the location and setting here. We thought it was the best place in Troncones and the couple that tended the grounds and housekeeping soon became our friends. Both they and Ernesto, the on site manager, were very helpful arranging activities for us. We really enjoyed playing in the surf right in front of our place. We felt that it was the best place to stay in all of Troncones and enjoyed the convenience of being within walking distance of a couple stores and several restaurants if you didn't choose to cook at home. Overall, we totally loved Casa Escondida and are looking forward to returning!! Dave Kinard was a pleasure to book it with too!

Heaven in a nutshell!!!!

5 of 5
This is a little slice of heaven! Every room was amazing...the garden apartment shares a bathroom but is good for a family! We had the staff on full time to cook/clean/shop and they were a pleasure! It is great with or without kids, the town is close and beaches are amazing and quiet! 15 min drive to Xstapa which is more touristy which is nice for shopping/eating out. We only left the compound a few times...didn't fell the need. It was amazing and big enough to feel privacy even with 6 couples and 4 kids! On top of all the amazing amenities.....we were all taking turns getting amazing massages from some local ladies outdoors when we noticed whales jumping right in front of us!!! A momma and baby were playing around for awhile as we watched from the pool! The air works perfect in the rooms and never got hot at night. The outdoor showers were to die for....we will be back next year! There are a few others near by but none compare to this beauty!

Tropical Paradise .... I was applauded by my group!

5 of 5
I booked this property for our group, and when I got there 1 hour after they did... I was pleased to get a standing ovation! Kena is the cleaning lady, and she is very accommodating for whatever you need. The pool guy even took one of us lobster fishing one day! Use Gustavo for your car needs or airport shuttles, he is very prompt on returning your emails. The rooms/beds are very comfortable, and we all liked that they are private to not have to hear nightly activities if you don't want to hear them. The stereo was nice in the kitchen room that had speakers out by the pool. If we go again, we would remember to bring more CD's, or an adapter to play our own music. It is also great that there is a supply of cleanser for the fruit and vegetables to be washed in. Not sure if Craig supplied it, or if it was left over from last guests? Sergio cooked us a fabulous meal! We purchased shrimp and Mahi from the locals, and he dug through our fridge and put together e a feast! We paid him $80+tip and paid for our food. We also had fresh abalone, and muscles that the locals dug off the rocks in the surf right in front of us some days. Can't get any fresher! Vendors a few, and far between...but they will find what you want and bring it the next day! I would recommend getting peso's before you go. No banks there, and locals exchange rate is whatever they want it to be at times.....much easier having pesos for all! Thank you Craig, for sharing your place on VRBO...it's people like you that made our friends quit their locked in time-share!! They LOVE staying in new places and exploring different cities in Mexico other than Mazatlan every year after year! We got them to Ixtapa once, and were hooked on our adventures! Your place is wonderful!
