Casa Kestos - paradise for 2 weeks.

5 of 5
Breathtakingly beautiful - that is Casa Kestos. Every morning I awoke to the sound of the surf crashing against the shore and when I took my tea on the patio I simply could not believe we were fortunate enough to be staying in a place of such beauty. We were a group of 8 adults, we stayed for a glorious 2 weeks. We walked into town, some or all of us, daily. We walked the beach in front of us which leads to the village of Sayulita where we surfed, shopped and dined. We also walked the numerous paths behind the villa and went to even quieter beaches and indeed walked all the way to San Pancho through the jungle - take water with you. Not a hike for the faint of heart. The walk into town is faster if you take the short path that leads to the road- Palmar , but the beach walk is lovely. Venezia Pizza is always a hit, and we added Calypso in the square to our list of favourite restaurants. This was our second visit to Sayulita and we explored more streets and shops this time. We kept the donut sellers busy and the churro man as well as other street vendors. All cheap and delicious. We also discovered the beer wholesaler who delivers, just up the street from the book store/library. The local market on Friday was full of fresh foods and crafts and the La Cruz market on the pier on Sunday morning is a must. The casa , bungalow and casita were all lovely. The staff were friendly and the manager was very helpful. The internet was quite reliable for the most part. We did make use of a taxi a few times, especially when we had groceries. Some of us took the local bus in to Bucerias to go to the market and the Mega grocery store. It is cheap and reliable. The bus stop was about a half hour walk from the casa for us- not hustling along! I would return to Casa Kestos in a heartbeat and recommend it heartily.

Coco

We had three generations of our family staying here for two weeks including a 2 year old and 4 year old. It was for my 60 th birthday. Happy Birthday to me! The house is amazing and we loved everything. The kids (30 year olds) surfed everyday and was within an easy walk. We enjoyed also walking to town which took ten minutes. Richard was so helpful in recommending things for us. The housekeeper Delia was adorable and cooked us an amazing dinner one night. There is so much to do and see in the darling town of Sayulita. Our family never experienced any problems with anything including having things taken. We were mindful and always locked valuables in safe and locked the house when we left. Please know this is a premier spot to stay right on the ocean and you are lucky to have found it! Use the safes and locks and you will have no problems. Enjoy!!!

The Perfect Way to Enjoy Sayulita!

5 of 5
Our family group of parents, adult kids, significant other, and cousins had a great time in Sayulita while staying at the wonderful Casa Azul, and the owners were very accessible to answer our questions both before and during our stay. The home is lovely inside and out, and provided plenty of indoor and outdoor public space as well as very private bedrooms. The photos offer a very accurate representation of the property, indoors and out. The housekeeper, Sarah, did a great job and was very unobtrusive. We had her daughter Esther make us a lovely meal one night of our stay, including delicious passionfruit margaritas - I would definitely recommend doing that at least once during your visit. We even had food leftover for lunches and snacks. Casa Azul is conveniently located a block and a half from the quiet end of Sayulita's beach, but is with easy walking distance of everything in town. While in Sayulita, we enjoyed Stand Up Paddle-boarding, and an ATV and zip-line adventure (through Rancho Mi Chaparrita: www.michaparrita.com), as well as a self guided hike of Monkey Mountain. We enjoyed lovely meals at El Itacate (tacos), Pizza Venezia (pizza and pasta, and just a block from Casa Azul), and Tropical House, also very close to Casa Azul. At a friend's recommendation, we also planned a dinner at Haramara Yoga Retreat (you need to plan this at least a day in advance). The meal and setting were both lovely. I would definitely recommend Casa Azul to anyone who is considering a visit to Sayulita.
