Casa Kestos - paradise for 2 weeks.

5 of 5
Breathtakingly beautiful - that is Casa Kestos. Every morning I awoke to the sound of the surf crashing against the shore and when I took my tea on the patio I simply could not believe we were fortunate enough to be staying in a place of such beauty. We were a group of 8 adults, we stayed for a glorious 2 weeks. We walked into town, some or all of us, daily. We walked the beach in front of us which leads to the village of Sayulita where we surfed, shopped and dined. We also walked the numerous paths behind the villa and went to even quieter beaches and indeed walked all the way to San Pancho through the jungle - take water with you. Not a hike for the faint of heart. The walk into town is faster if you take the short path that leads to the road- Palmar , but the beach walk is lovely. Venezia Pizza is always a hit, and we added Calypso in the square to our list of favourite restaurants. This was our second visit to Sayulita and we explored more streets and shops this time. We kept the donut sellers busy and the churro man as well as other street vendors. All cheap and delicious. We also discovered the beer wholesaler who delivers, just up the street from the book store/library. The local market on Friday was full of fresh foods and crafts and the La Cruz market on the pier on Sunday morning is a must. The casa , bungalow and casita were all lovely. The staff were friendly and the manager was very helpful. The internet was quite reliable for the most part. We did make use of a taxi a few times, especially when we had groceries. Some of us took the local bus in to Bucerias to go to the market and the Mega grocery store. It is cheap and reliable. The bus stop was about a half hour walk from the casa for us- not hustling along! I would return to Casa Kestos in a heartbeat and recommend it heartily.

What a fantastic place!

5 of 5
We stayed at Casa Amanecer for two weeks and loved it! The grounds were very jungle like and well cared for. The house was clean and spacious. We really enjoyed the breeze that comes through the property. The upstairs is open air and very spacious. It feels really private yet really close to town and the beach, although we wanted to spend most of our time at Casa Amanecer I would highly recommend.

A wonderful Sorpresa indeed!

5 of 5
We were so pleased with Casa Sorpresa! It truly is an oasis. Upon walking in through the gates you are welcomed with large shade trees and the fountain…and of course the beautiful salt water pool! The open air living and dining spaces were so lovely in the shade especially with the hammock during siesta hours. The pool was our highlight! It was pretty hot in May, but having the pool was just perfect. The air conditioned rooms are spacious and very nicely decorated with brightly colored bedding. There were ample towels available, which was great since we were swimming multiple times a day. I was also surprised at how quiet it was at night in the bedrooms and what a lovely neighborhood it is. The market/restaurant next door was great for smoothies and/or breakfast in the morning. And around the corner was an excellent food truck with amazing coconut shrimp and fish tacos. The pizza at Venezia was great too- all within a 2 minute walk. The beach is truly just a block away and there is a great tienda with fresh produce not too far in the other direction. The kitchen is well stocked for basic cooking needs and there is filtered water provided (in the bathrooms too). All in all we loved this place and would book it again in heart beat. If you are looking for a wonderful gem away from the noise of town but close enough to everything (and not up a long hill)- this is the place for you! We highly recommend Casa Sorpresa!
