Wonderful, wonderful!

5 of 5
We took our family of 8 adults (72 - 17) and 1 toddler to Casa Macumba for a week. There really aren't enough superlative words to describe how the staff and facilities are the perfect setting for a relaxing vacation. Carmen's food was magnificent and she needs to write a cook book. With a fabulous chef on the premises, there's no need to go elsewhere to eat. (Have her make you mahi mahi; it's the best I've ever eaten.) Fernando, Jovana, Marita and the rest of the staff were all great, as well. The property is immaculately kept and you can eat fresh mangos when they fall off the trees. (I highly recommend the mango margaritas.) The rooms are all comfortable and have excellent air conditioning. The beach is white sand and the water is crystal clear. You might get the impression from its fence that it's unsafe, but, it's not. We didn't even lock our doors at night. It's fairly secluded when compared to other beaches in the area. We made the mistake of having someone other than Casa Macumba arrange our transportation from the airport. BIG MISTAKE Instead, just let Blair (the owner) know the particulars of your arrival and let him arrange it. We used them on the way back and it was half of what we paid to get there. It was much more relaxing and so much better than staying at a hotel where you're just another anonymous client. Casa Macumba makes you feel like family and my family didn't want to leave. Their first question at the airport was... when are we going back?

Fantastic Vacation & Destination Wedding

5 of 5
A group of 18 stayed at both Hacienda Camino al Mar and Casita Camino al Mar at the end of March (2014) for a Destination Wedding & group vacation. All we can say is WOW... The villas were absolutely stunning! They were the perfect spot for a week vacation and our wedding. We were blown away with the level of service from Luis and the girls; the whole experience exceeded our expectations. It's definitely a bit of chance you take when you are planning a destination wedding but Boutique Villas was fantastic to work with. The information and communication provided to us beforehand - in the planning stages - was fantastic and exactly the assurance we needed. After our week vacation/wedding my husband and I said, if we did it over again we would do everything the exact same. A few photos from our wedding ceremony at the beach (Karen's Restaurant) and reception at Hacienda Camino al Mar can be found on the Photoshoots Vallarta blog - search Lauren + Mark. Thank you for a memorable vacation and your help in creating our picture perfect wedding. We are already thinking about a return stay... :) Our Sincerest Thanks, Lauren & Mark

Best Vacation Ever!

5 of 5
We just returned from a week's stay in Bucerias - renting both the Casita and Hacienda Al Mar for 16 adults and 4 children - best vacation ever! The connection between the two houses easy and welcoming to move back and forth if the doors are open. Speaking specifically about the Casita, we loved it! If we came back with a smaller group, we would choose the Casita to stay. There is a large covered "shady" area around the pool, allowing for plenty of room to get out of the sun, but still enjoy the outside area. The interior decorating is fantastic - from the lighting to the bedding - all beautifully chosen and extremely comfortable. The best part of our trip was the assistance given by the staff at the houses - Ana, who works at the Casita, was delightful! She also assisted Denise and Angela in making all of our meals, which were delicious! We were steps to the beautiful beach on a quiet, traffic-free street. There was plenty to "do", including a wealth of delicious restaurants nearby. We could not have felt more pampered in any other setting and everyone agreed they would love to return!
