Great accommodation

4 of 5
My wife and I recently finished a 3 month stay in Casita de Yates. What a marvellous place, located in a excellent location in the village of La Cruz de Haunacaxtle . The accommodations are comfortable ,and the grounds are beautiful, with the property carefully managed by a professional property manager, gardeners and pool attendants . Any problems are attended to in a very timely manner. There is also weekly maid service by Claudia, who does a fantastic job.As such, all we had to do is enjoy the surroundings of La Cruz. Charlie and Linda, the owners ,are excellent hosts, who are very attendant to the property and are sincere that you enjoy your stay ,providing a large binder with instructions for the Casita as well as all necessary information for the area. The property is located directly behind and above the large local fish market ,at the La Cruz Marina ,so access to daily fresh fish is a breeze. There was a review which stated that there is some days noise from the market ,this is true, but not a major issue ,the view of the Bay of Banderias and the sailboats in the Marina, make the noise inconsequential, it is a working fishing village. The Casita is located within the village of La Cruz which is a real Mexican village, which has small grocery stores and restaurants. There is a vibrant music scene in the local bars in La Cruz as the Marina has many people who reside on their boats and the local establishments do cater to them. The local Mexican restaurants are excellent. The Marina is recently built and is a beautiful place to walk .Bucerias is a short 15 minute taxi or bus ride which has a supermarket and numerous restaurants and bars. As well there are many coastal towns and beaches that are easily accessible by buses, such as San Paucho,Sayulita,Lo de Marchos,Mismaloya, Playa de Animas, Playa de Distilideras, and Neuvo Vallarta to name but a few. Any activity you desire is relatively close to the Casita. The village of La Cruz is very safe but the streets are cobblestone so bring good walking shoes and a flashlight as the streets are dark at night when walking back from restaurants. If you have never spent a vacation outside a resort ,use Google Earth ,street view, to view the Village of La Cruz ,to see if this experience is right for you. It is not a resort experience, but after spending time here you will never return to a resort as this is the real Mexico. The best testament we have is we have rebooked for next season for 10 weeks.

On a Scale of 1 to 10 it is 100!!!!

5 of 5
WOW….. The house ……well as we have told everyone….on a scale from 1 to 10 it is a 100!!!! Thank you so much we had a wonderful time. Gaby was awesome and very helpful. We enjoyed every moment it was so relaxing. Thanks again for all your help & patience while planning this trip we look forward to doing this again. This time there will not be as many questions as we will now be “seasoned” travelers. Again thank you – you made our vacation very memorable. We want to try and make this a yearly “get away." Just a note, the guys fished Tues, Thurs, Sat and did wonderful. Tues – 40lb Dorado & 95 lb Sail Fish – this was a wonderful dinner, Thurs – 20 lb dorado & 350 lb black marlin, Sat – only one fish caught but took 5 hours to boat – 600 lb blue marlin. Unfortunately, they did not enter the tournament or would have taken 1st but they know for next year. So needless to say we had a wonderful trip – thanks again for your hospitality.
