Everything and More!

5 of 5
We recently stayed at Casa Macumba as a group of 24. We were a group of friends with our children (ages 10months to 18yrs) and it was a perfect fit! We were greeted at the airport for our transportation.Upon arrival the place was immaculate. It did not take us long to feel right at home. The staff were very accommodating and went above and beyond everyday. We did not expect to be so pampered. The Chef (Carmen) was amazing. Every meal we had was fresh and tasty. We enjoyed every meal and all wanted to take her and her assistant (Marisol) home with us ! The comfort level we felt at Casa Macumba was like we were at home. We spent 5 amazing nights there and wish we could of had more time there. The Beach was beautiful and the waves were so fun! This was a trip of a lifetime for all of us and can't wait to go back.

fantastic

We arrived Christmas Day to stay at Casa Montana for 4 nights. Sandy recommended that we use her driver to transport us from the airport to the hotel. I highly, highly recommend that everyone does this. The taxis at the airport are approx 3 times as expensive as regular taxis, so for the same price, your driver takes you directly to the house and then gives you a full tour so you know where everything is, how it works etc. It should be noted that the driver waited for us for close to THREE HOURS since we were stuck in a huge line for customs. We were really surprised that he didn't just leave thinking we missed our flight When we arrived, he gave us the full tour. In the fridge, there was a fresh batch of homemade guacamole and salsa prepared. We had it stocked with some snacks and alcohol so we didn't have to worry about that on vacation. I recommend doing this - the prices are basically what you would pay if you went to the market yourself. This house is perfect size for up to two couples. Both bedrooms are huge, and both have their own balconies and very nice bathrooms. The living area on the first floor opens up to the outdoor patio and pool. It felt like we had a ton of living space to enjoy. To go into town, you call the taxi number that's clearly posted by the phone. Everyone who answered knew exactly where Casa Montana was located and it never took more than 5 minutes for a taxi to show up at our front door. It only costs $8 to get into town where there a ton of restaurants, beach clubs, bars and nightclubs. We had the best vacation and highly, highly recommend renting this house.

Splendor & Relaxation Surprise in Puerto Vallarta

5 of 5
This was my first time to PVR in many years and my traveling companions had highly recommended Vida Mar - Casa Tres Vidas villas where they had been to in the past. 6 of us arrived on the same flight and after a short pleasant ride from the airport we arrived at this charming hillside-beach villa. The charming staff greeted us with chilled bottles of water, took our suitcases and we were escorted to our rooms. The room was a complete pleasant surprise...spacious as a hotel suite, clean, large bathrooms, ample towels/linens, beautiful exposed red brick walls, and elegant white fabric draped above each bed frame that gave it a "palace bedroom" look. Our group opted for a meal plan where the creative chef prepared meals on several of the days we stayed there. The food was delicious and something you would have only expected at a fine dining restaurant. At the adjacent villa, we met friendly neighbors who raved about their breakfast only plan similar to a B&B. The villas have several small clean pools, multiple levels that have beautifully decorated outside living areas with TVs, music, games, books, and couches to escape to. Just a short 20 minute walk or $6 USD cab ride is the south end of PV that was filled with wonderful restaurants, cafes, shops, and nightlife. It was authentic Mexico! We all felt extremely safe. The streets were clean, people very friendly. This week was a complete surprise! I was awed by the charm of the destination and thrilled by the wonderful accommodations. It was truly a vacation to be remembers and I would only stay at this villa again on my return.
