DREAM VACATION

5 of 5
We visited Korovisi with 12 family members on a return trip back to the USA after spending time in Australia. The place is awesome. We booked the two boats and used them extensively for trips to Shy Guy Beach and the trip to a local village to see and swim in a waterfall. We did a few snorkeling and tubing trips as well. I am an avid fisherman and spent most mornings out on the 25' Blackwatch catching lunch and dinner. We caught mahi mahi, wahoo, yellowfin tuna, trevally and walu which is Fijis version of the king mackerel. Renting the boats really opened up the water activities for us. The family really enjoyed hanging around the infinity pool and soaking up the Fijian sunshine. The staff was very attentive and cooked many great meals for us all. We took Gavin's recommendation and hired a Bula band and did the lovo pit one night which was a real treat. I would highly recommend this beautiful villa for anyone wanting to get away from the resort crowd and spread out over 8 manicured acres. This place is everything the pictures represent and more.

WONDERFUL SHORT STAY, RECOMMENDED! :)

4 of 5
Hi there! I stayed at Maracuja for 5 nights in June 2014. I really enjoyed my stay. The views were excellent, there is a pool right down the steps which is lovely. A very lovely large patio as well, beautiful back yard! The villa is spacious and was clean when I moved in. There are actually three bedrooms, but I only needed one. Mario was very helpful with everything that I needed, and he was very generous with topping up the internet as I definitely used a lot of internet (downloading movies). I would definitely recommend the stay, as it is a very nice area and a decent price too! Thank you Mario for the wonderful stay, look forward to staying with you again. A few things to note, but not deter you from staying! 1. Taxi is by 4WD taxi only, 10 FJD to or from town. Get their numbers so that you can arrange pickup or drop off. 2. The villa Maracuja could use a little TLC on the wooden floors in the living room, several of the floor boards give when walking on them and are about to break. 3. Some of the lights dont work in villa Maracuja, or if they do I could not find a switch to turn them on. Labelling switches would be very useful for visitors. 4. More towels could be provided to the guests. Two towels at least. I asked Mario for towel and he provided. 5. There is no laundry in the villa. You have to arrange this with Mario. He picked up on Saturday and dropped off on Tuesday. Just so you are aware. Enjoy your stay. Savusavu is so beautiful, and the area where this rental property is located is absolutely stunning. Fiji people are very friendly and I will have pleasant memories from my stay. All the best to you.

ROMANTIC SECLUDED GETAWAY

5 of 5
The property was nicely nestled in a dense and largely untouched tropical mangrove forest right on the clear salt lake river. While it was only a short five minute walk from the main road, the lodge was wonderfully private. We were able to blast some tunes on their speaker system in the shared beach house area without concern of disturbing any neighbors. We stayed in the Riversong Bure, which was a clean and beautiful little room situated a little ways away from the main area. When we were there, we were lucky to have the entire place to ourselves, but for those sharing the main beach house with other guests, our little bure would be the perfect private retreat. The kitchen was clean and modern and fully stocked. The owners, Andrew and Sonja, were great hosts giving us lots of local fruits and vegetables and accommodating our various needs. Using the free hand lines at the dock, we were able to catch large fish for almost every meal during our stay - so if you're a big fish eater you might get lucky with lots of delicious free meals. All in all, the Salt Lake Lodge was a wonderful retreat and more than we could hope for. My husband and I were on our mini honeymoon and couldn't afford too much and the lodge far exceeded our expectations! Definitely stay here if you are looking for a really private escape and don't mind catering for yourself.
