Fantastic quality and value!

5 of 5
This was my favorite vacation rental I have had, bar none (so far, our family has done 4 week-long or more rentals including this one). The house was spacious and comfortable, with lovely amenities (I wish I had that washer and dryer!). I learned how great a large open lawn is for little kiddos and even adults - so many times we had impromptu soccer and frisbee volleys among adults and kids. The owners are amazingly helpful and communicative - we needed a babysitter for the night of my sister's wedding and the owner immediately offered considerate options that allowed my husband and I to fully participate in the wedding without concern. The owners were so understanding of kids and the challenges associated with them. Although the house is not advertised for little kids per-se, there are a TON of toys available in a closet if needed - my 3 year old and 1-year-old were in heaven with the sudden availability of all new toys. I had brought a bunch of our own toys along - they were completely unnecessary and uninteresting to the little guys compared to what was in the house. We were lucky to be in the area for the fall colors - it is absolutely gorgeous just from the front lawn and it was just a short walk to the kind of scenery one pictures for a New England post card. Ever since my husband and I bought our house, we often find that hotels are real downgrades in comfort - this vacation rental was the opposite. We felt spoiled to have tons of space and luxuries. I cannot recommend this house enough!

Wonderful house, great view!

5 of 5
Stayed with a group of 10 for our wedding in the area. The house is beautiful and well built, with unreal views of the mountains. A short trek to town or the trail up Greylock. Very comfortable, fantastic kitchen, 2 master bedrooms that were great, and numerous other beds and pullouts. All-in-all a great rental experience. Only tiny complaint is the door alarm announces every time a door opens which is a bit annoying.

wonderful place, inside and out

5 of 5
The photos of the house barely do it justice. It combines original, updated, and fully renovated rooms in a harmonious whole. The furnishings and art work are eclectic and beautiful. There are large rooms for everyone to gather and smaller rooms for quiet retreat. We chose this rental because our party of eight included four active boys/young men, aged 14 to 25, and we wanted enough outdoor space for their activities. We set up badminton and croquet, and there still was enough space for vigorous games of soccer and frisbee. The pool is lovely and feels nicely secluded. The retractable awning over the blue stone patio made it possible for us to have most of our meals outside, even when the weather wasn't perfect. Mary, the owner, was responsive and helpful,
