This was our 4th visit to the Cape at this time of year and we usually look for somewhere that is close to Hyannis and all its sights and sounds. If you stay further away during the winter you tend to find a lot of the restaurants are closed or on limited hours whereas around Hyannis/Yarmouth everything tends to still be open.
So we arrived at 1.25pm and by 1.26pm we were loving this rental. First of all the lock box for the keys is accessible and easy to use so no worries there. On entering the cottage everything was clean, neat and tidy. The kitchen is fully equipped for every eventuality and in fact, just a week or so prior to arriving I had asked Rebecca (the owner) about a kettle and DVD player and she went out and got the items. (big tea drinkers in my family!)
They have a 50inch tv with XFinity cable and a whole slew of channels to choose from including lots of movie networks. Its also a PVR type system so we found ourselves recording lots of movies for the evenings. If you tend towards Summer visits to the Cape then this might not be of much interest as you will be outside in the huge backyard or entertaining on the large painted concrete deck. Plenty of privacy as well with a nice fence that wraps around two sides of the deck for added privacy,
There is also very good Wi-Fi throughout the house which is pretty much a required standard for most places nowadays. At our rental last year (a totally different property) we had nothing but problems with the signal but here in Yarmouth there was never an issue. Easy to locate and connect to with the password Rebecca provides.
The bathroom is a good size with a good power shower and nice size sink. For those with young children the toilet also has what I would call a double seat, one for adult size butts and then one for child size. Nice idea and a nice touch by the owner.
The 3 bedrooms have a queen size, full size and two bunk beds so plenty of sleeping space for 8 people. There are really nice touches in the cottage such as the one touch dimming light switches in the bedrooms and the very easy to use touch screen thermostat.
The living room has a comfy L shaped couch plus a matching loveseat so lots of seating for all and sundry.
You are no more than 3 minutes from such great restaurants as Keltic Kitchen, Capt. Parkers and Yarmouth House and less than 5 minutes from the Stop and Shop.
So great visit, awesome cottage and the owner is very easy to deal with
