Lovely stay!

5 of 5
My wife, daughter and I just returned home from our first visit to Martha's Vineyard and couldn't be happier. The property was beyond anything we could have expected. The living quarters were immaculate, bright and cheerful. Stocked with all the amenities we needed to enjoy our stay. The place just looks very well cared for. The surrounding area is gorgeous. Perfect for bike rides or strolls. Lots of nearby shops, farmers markets, antique fairs and such to wander through in West tisbury and Vineyard Haven. We took full advantage of the beautiful lambert's cove beach which is a lovely walk from the property through lush woods and a winding country lane. At times, we had the beach almost entirely to ourselves. My daughter, (7) loved it! It was our first time to the island and we decided to leave our car on the mainland. The bus system is more than adequate, and we were able to see the entire island. It was great to be able to experience the hustle and bustle of the busier towns on the island and head back to the tranquility of west tisbury at the end of the day. I would be remiss if I didn't mention the owners, Alice and Ken. To say they went out of their way to make our stay comfortable would be an understatement, and for that I am truly appreciative. Thanks so much for the wonderful memories!!!

Discovered Best Getaway Ever!

5 of 5
My husband and I wanted to plan a peaceful and relaxing week away in the off season and could not have found a more incredible place. The reviews and pictures enticed us, but we had to pinch ourselves when we finally arrived. One of the reviews mentions that the pictures don't fully do it justice. And it's true! It's simply the most beautiful, secluded and charming cottage. It has everything we need. We never minded having no TV, limited electrical lights and a wood-burning stove. It actually made for an incredibly relaxing and romantic vacation. Such a special thing to make dinner by candlelight (with a few small lamps), read books by the fire on a crisp autumn afternoon, and enjoy the island in the fall. The wood-burning stove heated the house beautifully - we were cozy all day and night. The kayaks were so much fun - we took them out into Deep Bottom Cove and to Long Point Beach. The location is ideal, easy to get to all points on the Vineyard, but you almost feel like you have the entire island to yourself at the cottage. It was clean, the bed was comfy, the kitchen well-stocked. The view from the windows, deck (and shower!) were absolutely breathtaking. We cannot recommend this cottage enough! We hope and plan to return every year. Such a gem!!
