This immaculate studio was absolutely perfect for two of us, and we loved every second we were there. How can you beat having your breakfast as you gaze at the sparkling water and feel that lovely, salty breeze, or listening to the waves crash as you rest after a long, sun- and fun-filled day at the Cape?
From the balcony and even the bed, you can see and hear the ocean, and it is literally a 1-minute walk from the door to the ocean. The A/C was a blessing on the few days when it got a bit toasty (I hate hot weather so most people wouldn't even need the A/C as there is a ceiling fan and a great cross-breeze), so I imagine the heat also works quickly if you're staying in the off-season. The bathroom was very clean as was the kitchen. We didn't use the oven or stove, but the fridge works very well. There are plenty of lights throughout and we watched several Red Sox games (ch. 51) as we went to bed, so the tv and cable service work well.
The owner consistently responded quickly, from my inquiry right up through a slight issue we had with the Wi-Fi. She took care of it quickly and I would highly recommend renting from Claire.
If you aren't familiar with this area of the Cape, we would recommend mini-golf at Pirate's Cove (Rte. 28), Kream n' Kone for fried clams and more (intersection of Rtes. 134 and 28), Sundae School for ice cream (Lower County; try the Ginger or the Amaretto Nut!), Royal Pizza for awesome pizza and calzones (right across from Sundae School), The Candy Company (Rte. 28), a nice dinner at The Oyster Company (Depot St.), a relaxed dinner at The Wee Packet (corner of Lower County and Depot; their Irish breakfasts are supposed to be wonderful), breakfast at The Pancake Man (practically across from Candy Co.), and spend a day in Provincetown, about an hour away, the true first landing spot of the Pilgrims. If you want to go to a larger beach, the West Dennis Beach is great and it is free after 6pm if you just want to go for a walk or fly a kite and need more room than at the private beach you can use across from the rental.
Literally the only things we wished we had were an umbrella for the balcony table (I'm super pale and burn easily) and an alarm clock, though most of us have one on our phone. Other than that, this place was simply perfect and I highly recommend it, unless you want it the week we do, as we will definitely be returning. :)
