I was lucky enough to spend a weekend at this house in April of 2006, it was so memorable. This house is very large, clean, and well-kept. First, in order to reach this magical place, you travel down a 1 mile dirt driveway through the woods. The woods stop & you are driving right towards Cape Cod Bay; to the right, a valley of greenery, the bay, and the Provincetown skyline across the bay. Bound Brook Island is a tranquil location - private and simple; just the way God or Mother Nature (whomever you believe in) intended. There are 4 other houses in the immediate neighborhood. One other house shares the path to the beach. The private beach is spacious (accommodates all the residents without being on top of one an other - I have been to a neighboring house during many summer vacations) and although rocky directly in front of this house (which protects the shoreline) sand is immediately to the left. (*The beach does change from year to year and even day to day). There are always sandbars to the left as well, which makes low tide a fun adventure. The house is large - with several living rooms/sitting areas so if one member of your party wants to watch TV while you read, there is plenty of space to do so (I am one of those people that needs quiet to read). The sun sets are beautiful - just sitting on the porch with a glass of wine or an ice cream sundae is fantastic. When I stayed here, I stayed in the corner room to the right at the top of the stairs (I think this one is the BEST) there is a view of the beach and Potato Hill. Leave the windows open and get lulled to sleep by old Cape Cod Bay. There are a plethora of animals, birds, and sea life in the area as well. Like my title states, if you love nature, peace and tranquility, this is the place for you!
