This cottage is a great place to stay in a quintessential coastal town. The beach roses right outside the front windows were perhaps my favorite part of the cottage as the sweet smell wafted into the living room. We loved being across the street from the bay where we could have our morning coffee as the sun rose, while watching the oystermen collect their catch of the day. It's a short, picturesque walk into town, Mac's seafood, The Bookstore Restaurant or Uncle Tom's Bridge. Make sure you go to the Lighthouse for blueberry pancakes and Moby Dick's for fried seafood. In the evening, we enjoyed a glass of wine while watching the sun set over Great Island. The cottage is a short drive to any of the beaches on the ocean side; Marconi Beach was our favorite. Rosemary has made sure the cottage is well-appointed, clean and cozy. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to make a home cooked meal and having linens provided was a nice bonus. While there is a quiet, private sitting area with a fire pit, we never found the time to use it, but we did enjoy the two different options for grilling. Rosemary was prompt, courteous, and accommodating to deal with throughout the whole process. Can't wait to return next summer!
