Beautiful and spacious cottage

5 of 5
We rented this house for our family during the Thanksgiving holiday. It had everything we wanted and needed. The house was clean and the owners were very accommodating. We had no problems getting in touch with them. We managed to put 9 people in the house and they were very comfortable. The house is close to both Wellfleet and to Provincetown. I definitely recommend this house and we will use it again for our guests.

Location! Location! Location!

5 of 5
Being from Minnesota, we wanted a place close to the water to watch an authentic Nor'Easter coming in. Bingo! Any closer and we would have been soaked the entire time. Yet, our cottage was so well constructed that, unless you looked out the window, you'd hardly know a storm was outside. The storm was exciting and the aftermath was thrilling. Literally hundreds, perhaps thousands, of northern gannets, shearwaters, eiders, and other marine birds flocking past our window during the day and the lovely lights of Provincetown and the cape lighthouses at night. Although most of the area is developed, the cottage is situated near a huge, high dune running away to the south so you really have a sense of privacy and natural environment. We found the cabin itself to be perfect and perfectly outfitted with everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Small yes, but cozy and a real feeling of being outside while in. The windows facing west and south were endlessly entertaining. The location was not only perfect for watching birds and harbor seals, but we really enjoyed the proximity to Provincetown more than expected. What a fun place to visit, even in the off-season. And of course the few minutes drive up to Race Point to watch the waves after the storm will always be a highlight of our trip. All in all, a great stay. If you can do better for the price, you are doing really, really well. One last note. We came to Cape Cod without having set up anything in advance. We are grateful that the owners were so quick and diligent in answering our requests and getting things set up. The people you work often make or break your vacation. Thanks, Liz, for everything.

Loved our stay!

5 of 5
Lots of room for the 6 of us. Especially appreciated the open space on the living room floor. Lots of room and comfortable chairs/sofas for lounging. Kitchen has a great layout - can easily accommodate 3 or 4 folks working at the same time with minimal collisions. Dishwasher/microwave/oven were all new and worked reliably. We ate most meals at a table on the deck just off the kitchen. Lovely view of the stars at night and no mosquitoes. (Side benefit of being slightly removed from the marshes around the beach.) We liked the walk to/from Corn Hill beach but I can see that it might be burdensome if you had young children and lots of beach accessories to schlep. If you have to drive, Corn Hill does have a large parking lot which was never even close to full the week that we visited. Would definitely recommend the house and am planning to return next year!
