The best - speaking from experience!

5 of 5
This is the very nicest cottage you can find in the area of Truro/North Truro/Provincetown/Wellfleet. I know this from experience, having stayed elsewhere before. The cottage is perfectly located: 150 yds from the upscale general store (excellent wines) and nearby café, 150 yds from one of the two most beautiful roads on the Cape, a ½-mile walk that leads to the bay beach and sunsets beyond imagining. Inside the cottage, everywhere are signs of the owners’ eye for detail and design. The cottage is perfectly appointed, with all the equipment you’d need for serious cooking. It is comfortably furnished and elegantly finished, with paintings everywhere, mostly by the owner (a major artist who shows at the major Provincetown gallery, Berta Walker). The cottage has a lovely large screened porch with views of the back garden, where birds abound (I’ve seen the resident red-tailed hawk, also other hawks and ospreys). Upstairs, the bed is more comfortable than my own at home (firm, high-quality new sheets (flannel in winter), all manner of pillows, every kind of blanket/quilt/throw). Rob and Janice, the proprietors, are very solicitous but unobtrusive. I’ve stayed here 5 times, usually for a week. Rob and Janice were alert to my needs, but they left me alone when they sensed I wanted it. Being able to do my laundry was a big plus. Chickens permitting, you may receive an occasional fresh-laid egg for breakfast. Rob and Janice were happy to inform me what to see and do in Provincetown and Wellfleet. Though busy with their own projects, they are perfectionists as well as committed hosts: an unbeatable combination. In fact, partly thanks to them, I have just bought a house nearby. All praise to Rob and Janice for their beautiful cottage and the way they host it. Hear, hear!

Quiet, private cottage, a true gem

5 of 5
We worried a little about writing a review for one of our favorite places, fearing that we would have trouble getting in once other people found out about it. But it's many charms are meant to be shared, not hidden, so we decided to take our chances and let the world in on a true gem. We have stayed many times as Erica's great cottage. It is cozy & light with nice architectural details, and has lots of space and a lot of privacy. And it is quiet, which you might not expect, given it's proximity to Rt 6A in North Truro. One of the best things about the cottage, is it's closeness to everything: the bay, the ocean, P-town, the Flex bus line, Highland Light, Truro Vineyards, we could go on & on. Also, right down the street is a new general/package store, a great little coffee shop, and a chocolatier. 2 of our favorite, and the area's best restaurants, Terra Luna & Blackfish, are also close by. The cottage itself is light & bright, with a good sized bedroom with a comfortable queen bed, a fully equipped kitchen, and a living room with a dining area. There is also a loft which overlooks the living room. It is well furnished, and always clean and ready to move into on the day we arrive. The backyard is peaceful, with Erica's garden attracting all sorts of birds & small animals. We always enjoy staying here, and have been in the spring, fall & even Thanksgiving, and have never been disappointed. Erica is a great host, unobtrusive but extremely helpful & friendly. We highly recommend

Worth every penny.

In determining where to stay, I was informed that my bed would be in the boat house (aka, Low Tide). I was expecting a couple of bunks while making the main house where I spent my time. I was delighted to discover how spacious Low Tide is. Large kitchen, huge table to eat at, comfortable living room, and enough bedroom space to sprawl out in. Would definitely do it again.
