All the charm of what Cape Cod should be!

5 of 5
We have been coming to Wayside for over 21 years. Improvements have made but the charm of this house keeps bringing us back. We love just waking out the door to the water with sand on our feet and a nice breeze on our faces. The owners (Luisa and Warren) are terrific and keep making improvements year after year. We hope to be coming here for 21 more years.

Lovely From Sunset to Sundown

5 of 5
I have been to the cottage 3 times and my last adventure was in June of 2014. As you enter Truro, off of Highway 6 , the smell of pines and the return to nature leads you up the hill to the car park and then their is a brief walk to the top of the dune. The cottages are on the dune and when one leaves the cottage you are in the sand, and surrounded by indigenous grasses, flowering bushes and a vista of the bay which magazines have used for their summer New England issues. The cottage is quaint and authentically maintained with Betsy's beautiful artistic touches throughout particularly in the well equipped kitchen where one can eat from one of a kind pottery pieces. These pieces make the preparing of and eating of meals celebratory. I loved to meet the morning on her porch with my coffee and then walk the stairs down to the bay beach and walk for hours toward Provincetown. There were mornings where I alone enjoyed the beach and then times where a few fellow walkers and their dogs would smile on by. Corn Hill was a warm and friendly place yet also people were very respectful of people's privacy. This cottage is a very special place because it has a sophisticated yet rustic atmosphere which comes from it's well thought out simple interior and it's position with simply the most beautiful sunsets in Cape Cod. Should you decide to leave the cottage or the beach - The Black Fish restaurant is a super place for fine dining in jeans and flip flops or a hamburger at the bar. Don't miss the French bakery and the new coffee house with artisan pour over coffee and hand made chocolate.

This is no ordinary rental

5 of 5
Location, Location, Location - you cannot get much closer to town without renting in town. We were a party of 9 (ages 5 - 50) and a good time was had by all. The "compound" is ideal for multiple parties and/or generations with the converted boathouse providing an additional contained living space. The living space in both the main house and the boathouse provide plenty of room; bedrooms and baths, the kitchens are well stocked, the decor is eclectic and the living spaces are comfortable and accommodate a large group Oh and don't forget the bay is right out back!
