                                      5 of 5
I have been staying in Cape Cod rentals every year for almost each and every of my 53 years, but this was truly a unique experience. It was full of surprises, and yet felt so easy and comfortably familiar. It is the very first time I have not cleaned a home before we settled in, it was impeccable and there was simply no need. Close to Route 6 and definitely not isolated, it felt very quiet and private. I was a bit worried because the friend I traveled with this year is a real snob and will only stay at 5-star resorts. The house feels like a much more expensive rental. (They insisted we book immediately to be sure we can go back next year!) Simple, light-filled, comfortable and uncluttered, the house has something interesting to look at, to examine, to explore, at every turn. You won't find the odd moldy paperback collection, but a really wide selection of good reads: some local, both fiction and non-; games galore, including the ping pong table in the basement (which I thought irrelevant in the initial description but ended up loving); a movie collection and sound system that keep making me feel like it's time to upgrade at home. The chairs on the deck are deceptively comfortable; we got to the beach late every day because of them and drinks out at sunset couldn't compare. We had no intention of cooking but the fabulous, well-equipped kitchen, interesting cookbooks and huge dining table had us convincing friends staying nearby they had to come over rather than meeting at a restaurant. The master bedroom is palatial, and all of the beds were really comfortable. We loved the outdoor shower and the second bath had a delightful skylight and a big, roomy shower. But the master bath is a delightful spa that was enjoyed nightly. I have recommended the house to friends but fear it will not be open when I want to go, I've been ruined for other rentals! The biggest surprise was that we went out much less frequently than usual, we were just too happy "at home." Despite knowing the Cape really well, the owners left such extensive info and fun tips that I enjoyed reading it all the same. I shopped a bit less, ate a little less fried food and came home at the end of a week so well rested it felt as though we'd had a month off!

                                      GREAT RELAXING VACATION

                                      5 of 5
This property is just as appears in the photos. A very comfortable house in a friendly quiet neighborhood. So close to the beach and Provincetown. We had a great week, swimming, walking and biking around the area. The walking trail at the end of the street was an unexpected bonus. Would definitely recommend staying here if you are looking for a quiet relaxing vacation.

                                      PERFECT AND PRIVATE

                                      5 of 5
This home, set on over an acre at the end of a quietly marked long sandy drive and adjacent to conservation land, provides the rare combination of great privacy and water view at a price that often provides neither. Although there are a couple of houses on separate lots nearby they are well screened by trees and the only buildings truly in the view are across the water. At night, when not kayaking by moonlight out our backdoor, we counted only three lights -- other than a million stars. By day we looked out on a scene that seems unchanged in 200 years out of a landscape painters dream... complete with resident Great Blue Heron fishing in the marsh. Our children discovered wild blueberries, wild raspberries, rose hips, and beach plums. It was a delight to walk along the tidal river to the ultra picturesque Pamet Harbor alive with fishing and pleasure boats. The home, from outside, hugs the landscape more than its neighbors (a good thing) but inside is light and airy with great living space and kitchen. It absorbed our resident family of four -- plus visiting families that often brought our number number to eight. The owners are delightful as is their housekeeper who we were able to engage a few times during our month in paradise. The hammock in the pines overlooking the view got a first class work out as did the outdoor shower. And the deck often made us forget that there was in fact an indoor dining area that had no trouble with ten people enjoying lobsters for grandmothers birthday. Speaking of the lobsters Mac's Seafood, just at the end of the road, has the most amazing fresh local fish-- we gave the grill a run for its money-- and they will steam and crack the lobster for you timed to your dinner. As the map will tell you, tucked away though it is, it is convenient (read within minutes) of everything from a bonafide french bakery, a creditable vineyard, a pitch perfect restaurant (yay Blackfish!) and sunset sails on the Bay Lady out of Ptown. Suffice it to say we have asked how soon we can hold dates for next year.
