A Magical Cottage in Nantucket

5 of 5
Love, love, LOVE this exquisite Nantucket cottage. I’ve stayed there for four consecutive years and it is a magical place. First off, Valerie, the warm and welcoming owner, takes so much great pride in the cozy, historic cottage and keeps it tended with care. She lives across the yard in the main house but is never intrusive, yet accommodating if you have a question or if she can meet a special need. The cottage is always immaculate when I arrive and the beds are so, so comfortable. Just picture returning from a beautiful day at the beach, refreshing with a rinse in the private outdoor shower, relaxing on the deck with a glass of wine or cocktail, and then firing up the gas grill for a delectable dinner. You can travel light because Valerie has provided every amenity you need for an incredible Nantucket getaway, including WiFi, cable TV, stereo, linens and towels, toiletries, beach chairs and beach towels, plenty of fans, iron and ironing board (which I never use :), washer/dryer in the basement, outdoor dining area, and so much more. The neighborhood is quiet with great streets for walking or jogging if you’re so inclined. It’s only a 10-minute drive to town and five minutes to Sconset. The island has extensive bike paths and a good public bus system to get all over the island but you may want a car if you really want to explore and experience all that Nantucket has to offer. Be sure to book early because so many people love this cottage and, like me, return year after year.

Wonderful week stay in a cozy cottage!

5 of 5
We arrived to this cute small cottage tucked away but surrounded by a beautiful garden. The decorations were simple but very Nantucket ... the house was well supplied, bed comfortable. Loved the proximity to the Serengeti and all the off road running paths/streets. The Inn Keepers were friendly responsive and very accommodating! And to top it off, our two goldens were welcomed and thoroughly enjoyed hanging out on the deck when they weren't chasing waves or going for daily walks. We shall return!!!

Amazing Nantucket Minimoon

5 of 5
The cottage was absolutely perfect for our mini honeymoon. From the minute we walked in, we knew it would be just what we needed for a relaxing week in Nantucket. Christine and her husband, Bob, welcomed us with a plate of cookies and a mini bottle of champagne, and quickly gave us a tour of the cottage. The cottage felt so private but it was nice to know Christine and Bob were nearby if we needed anything. The two-floor layout of the cottage was perfect for us and very convenient. The pictures really don't do it justice- it just felt comfortable and homey. Everything was also thought of in terms of amenities available to us: beach towels and chairs, tennis rackets, music with pre-programmed iPod (great selection), magazines and books, washer and dryer, wifi, and flat screen t.v. Easy access to multiple beaches close-by and it was a quick drive to both town and Sconset. We had a really wonderful time and hope to go back for an anniversary soon.
