Amazing Nantucket Minimoon

5 of 5
The cottage was absolutely perfect for our mini honeymoon. From the minute we walked in, we knew it would be just what we needed for a relaxing week in Nantucket. Christine and her husband, Bob, welcomed us with a plate of cookies and a mini bottle of champagne, and quickly gave us a tour of the cottage. The cottage felt so private but it was nice to know Christine and Bob were nearby if we needed anything. The two-floor layout of the cottage was perfect for us and very convenient. The pictures really don't do it justice- it just felt comfortable and homey. Everything was also thought of in terms of amenities available to us: beach towels and chairs, tennis rackets, music with pre-programmed iPod (great selection), magazines and books, washer and dryer, wifi, and flat screen t.v. Easy access to multiple beaches close-by and it was a quick drive to both town and Sconset. We had a really wonderful time and hope to go back for an anniversary soon.

A Remarkable Experience on Nantucket

5 of 5
Having visited Nantucket by boat many times, I was not familiar with all of the joys the island had to offer away from the harbor. Lesser Light was the perfect home from which to explore the Serengeti, the miles of bike paths and the solitude of a nearly-deserted Tom Nevers beach. The nearby shuttle stop was convenient for provisioning and shopping trips to town. The cottage is immaculately maintained and well-appointed with an array of upscale amenities. The huge deck and outdoor shower are a delight after a bike-ride to the beach or just soaking up the sun on a quiet afternoon. The owners are attentive and gracious, providing prompt assistance and guidance for even the smallest of issues. The only difficult part of the stay was having to pack and leave what we now consider our Nantucket home. We are looking forward to experiencing the cottage in the off-season this year and for years to come.

True "Home Away" from home!!

5 of 5
My husband and I stayed at the cottage for a week in July 2013. We had such a relaxing and wonderful time that upon departing we asked if we could come again in 2014. For us the cottage is an oasis away from the hectic pace of everyday life. The pictures on the site are exactly what the cottage is like. There are deer, rabbits, and birds on the property which is beautifully maintained by Valerie, the owner of this special place. Although the cottage is not "modern" it is not lacking for any of our needs. It is great to have the options of grilling out back, making breakfast in the kitchen, and sitting out on the deck to have a cocktail and bite to eat before heading into town for dinner. The outside shower is fabulous after coming home from the beach! I would recommend this property to close friends and relatives, but not to too many people because I want to be able to visit every year!! The only negative to staying at the cottage is having to leave at the end of the week.
