Luxury and space in idyllic surroundings

5 of 5
The cottage was beautiful, with every convenience. Ruth and Gareth, the owners in the house next door, had thoughtfully provided a comprehensive supply of food and drink items to ease us into the evening and our first breakfast. They were also more than helpful when we had a problem operating the drier, and quickly dried our things themselves. The gardens around the house were lovely with views of the river. The Red Lion Inn is a beautiful old place with lots of interesting curios and fantastic food. We also ate extremely well at Once Upon a Table just a few yards further down Main Street. When you stay here you must make time to visit the Norman Rockwell Museum and the Shaker Village (food was great here too) Both of which are superb. I have already recommended the cottage and area to friends and colleagues.

Cozy Lakeside Retreat

5 of 5
A comfortable house with modern amenities in a great location. The kitchen is well equipped and newly renovated. The open living/dining room, with fireplace is cozy and inviting. The new beds and tasteful furniture are comfortable. The screen porch is an added bonus overlooking the leafy yard and lake. A new dock makes for easy access to the lake, where one can enjoy the canoe or kayaks provided by the owners. There’s also lots of dining and cultural activities near by including theater, music and art galleries. We had a great time and will surely return.

A Sweet Stay

5 of 5
This is a wonderful rental. My husband and I took a long weekend in February here with our dog. It is a house with wonderful open living space; and this space is artfully furnished to provide plenty of room for solitude as well. We loved the grand piano and the varied book collection and cd's as well. It is tastefully decorated with comfortable couches and chairs, and lots of them. There is a wonderful view from all of the back windows and especially from a sitting area in the corner that provides a great place to drink morning coffee, read a book and contemplate. We didn't use the two extra bedrooms, but there is plenty of space for more than two here. It is in a very nice location, near Stockbridge Center and also Lee, Lenox and surrounding towns. So, the perfect spot to hunker down or use as a home base to take in all of the areas many attractions. The owner provided excellent customer service too! We'll come again!
