Everything we hoped for and more!

5 of 5
This place is fantastic! The location is perfect - a very short drive to the downtown attractions, yet away from the hustle and bustle, and you can see the entrance to the Plantation from the front yard. The beach access was perfect for our family of four little boys. They eagerly traveled the short walk down the private gated boardwalk every day, excited to see what treasures they could find on the beach (crabs were their favorite!). There were waves, but even my three year old was at home near the water. When the wind blew, we were even able to fly small kites. The lifeguards are at their posts all day long and really watched the swimmers and kids on the beach. All this just steps from the back door. I was worried about the reviews stating the beach was rocky, but the kids loved rearranging the rocks and there was plenty of sand, although water shoes were a good idea. The house was in great condition - clean, welcoming and comfortable. We were able to have a lobster dinner with corn on the cob in the well-stocked kitchen. The granite counter top on the island was big enough to house the puzzles we completed. Having the brand new washing machine and dryer was fantastic - one of my favorite features! There was plenty of room for our family of 8 to stay the week. Having coffee on the porch in the morning was a great way to start the day. The jetted tub was the perfect way to end it! Kyle was amazing about answering any of our questions and always got right back to us. She went above and beyond to be sure our kids were happy (thanks for the DVD player!) and made us feel like we were truly on vacation. There were only a couple of negatives. There weren't sheets or blankets for the pull-out couch or extras in case we needed to change them, but Kyle took care of that for us. Also, the cable didn't work when we got there and was out for a couple of days, but I think that was a fluke thing and was also taken care of as soon as they possibly could - thank goodness for that DVD player!! It would also have been nice to have shades or blinds on ALL of the windows for the early morning hours. The only thing we found in the kitchen that was missing was a can opener. All in all, it really was the perfect vacation rental for us!

Winslow Inn

5 of 5
This past weekend we stayed at the Winslow Inn while we attended a wedding in Plymouth. Heidi and Newton were so accommodating with our schedules and extremely personable. We arrived on a Friday to a clean and updated room with water views, bathroom and kitchen area. Heidi greeted us at the door and really made us feel at home, but gave us complete independence. It was a little chilly when we got there, she even gave us a space heater! The Winslow inn exceeded our expectations-- it was the best price around and honestly the most beautiful. The location is right in the center of town, walking distance to the main street, the rock, mayflower and water. We had two great breakfasts at the cafe that the inn gives you vouchers for. Heidi even went above and beyond to work out a taxi service for us to get to and from the wedding we had this weekend. Not only do I recommend the Winslow Inn highly to anyone looking for an updated, clean, beautiful and friendly inn... we really hope to be able to come back next season for another stay. Thank you for everything!! We had a great weekend. -D&K

Clean, comfortable, in a great location.

5 of 5
The listing was just as advertised. Perfect location, two blocks from downtown, with the all the amenities as listed. The property was clean, well maintained and comfortable. The owner responded to questions promptly and was fair in all of our dealings. We had visited Plymouth before and were looking for a place within walking distance to downtown. A quick review of Plymouth. It is not a resort town with fancy restaurants, snooty attitudes or "beautiful people" It's a great stop close to Boston, Cape Cod and Newport. The character is of nice, polite, "normal" people. There is plenty to do, from historical sites to whale watching. If you are looking at Plymouth, convenience matters and want a solid, clean, comfortable place, at a fair price, this is it.
