GREAT LOCATION IN A QUIET AREA.

5 of 5
we had a wonderful time during our stay. it was so refreshing to get away from our busy life full of kids' activities and jobs. The kids played with each other instead of keeping busy with tons of activities. We searched for shells, walked/biked to the beach and just enjoyed great family time. Sandwich is an easy drive to busier towns for shopping or touristy attractions but we felt far enough away from all of that which is exactly what we all needed! The kids enjoyed eating dinner in a different location every night (4 choices in the house) and despite plenty of space, they chose to all bunk together every night. Having a yard with young kids is great for Wiffle Ball games and a little pick up soccer. Overall, a great time for everyone in the family.

A GREAT HOUSE FOR OUR FAMILY REUNION!

5 of 5
We stayed at the Newcomb Tavern for our family reunion (spanning 3 generations) and it was a wonderful place to spend our week together. The house is a true gem and has both the character of an old house and the conveniences of a modern house. Yvonne was great to work with, very friendly, and very accomodating in making sure our stay was nothing less than we expected. I would definitely recommend the Newcomb Tavern!

PLEASANT

4 of 5
Stayed 1 week, pleasant location for my family. Plusses: Enjoyed easy bike/walk to village and beach. Plenty of space to relax inside and out. Clean and neat. Kitchen well equipped, we cook in a lot rather than eat out. Quiet location. Peaceful at night (love that!). Beds are comfy, not saggy or creaky. Great to have washer / dryer and 2 full baths. Minuses: Weather was very hot and humid, and A/C was only in master BR. Uncomfortably hot in the house otherwise. Would have been better with A/C for sleeping at least in both bedrooms and fabulous if whole house had A/C for those unbearable days of high heat and humidity that do happen more often nowadays on the Cape. We bought a window A/C unit and owner kindly bought it from us to keep in the 2nd bedroom for future guests. Would not recommend the pull out sleeper in front living room couch (musty smell). Kitchen and deck need more seating if you have friends joining for a cookout as we did, furnishings there are sparse but it's spacious with enough room to host. Last note - We borrowed bikes from local friends but bikes would be a great addition. Made it much more fun for our teen and his friends to tool around to village and beach (not recommending biking on 6A, but there is a safe stop light and crosswalk nearby to access the village easily on foot or bike). Overall we had a relaxing and pleasant stay and had most everything we needed.
