Such a wonderful place! Very clean, well appointed, and comfortable feel (beach cottage-y). Great location, quick walk to the sand. Very open to allow for breezes and the air conditioner unit does help (we had one really hot day.) I suggest bringing fans for the bedrooms though. Really quiet, never heard the downstairs unit and the neighborhood was quiet when we were there. Seemed to be a lot of year-round residents amongst the rentals.
Since there isn't really any parking for regular beach go'ers we'd anticipate weekends still wouldn't be crowded on the beach that far down from the public beach. Nice mile or so beach walk down to the state reservation and jetty. Note: No lifeguards at that part of the beach, if you want them then go down about 1/4 mile to the northern part of the state beach. Found a few sand dollars wading out to knees at low tide and saw a few stranded jellyfish on the sand. Waves were awesome, but Salisbury has this weird upslope near mid-high tide with tremendous undertow...so be careful! Bring your boogie boards, skimmers, and floats...all allowed with no lifeguards.
Love Salisbury Beach, such a difference from the boardwalk/crowded/smoking/loud music/stoner beach at Hampton. Salisbury is the epitome of the long sands New England beach with powerful waves.
