Exceptional Experience

5 of 5
Everything included was beyond expectation. The property was more beautifully appointed and expansive than depicted in photographs. The superbly maintained space offers fantastic vistas in a exemplary seaside location. The owner provided an outstanding level of service via clearly detailed communication prior to visiting. The plethora of sights and sounds throughout Bearskin Neck, combined with the close proximity to numerous regional points of interest, make this a one-of-a-kind destination.

Perfect Location!!!

5 of 5
My family and I had a great time at this rental. It was a perfectly updated little place in a perfect location. The apartment looked just like the pictures. It was very clean and well maintained. It was about 45-50 minutes to Boston by car and an easy train ride in if you don't feel like dealing with Boston traffic or parking. Within Rockport it couldn't have been on a better intersection. We were steps from a beautiful beach and a short walk to Bearskin Neck. Parking was easy. If you plan ahead (and are visiting in the summer) check out Studio G's beach-side exercise classes. I couldn't ask for a better setting for an early morning work out. What truly made this rental worthwhile and made me have to write a review were the owners. We had a small issue when we arrived. I e-mailed the owner and they had the issue resolved before we even made it back from sightseeing. I would have no hesitation recommending this property to friends and family. We can't wait to return!!!

A Retirement Honeymoon

5 of 5
The property is billed at unique...and it definitely is. The inside layout of the apartment was a bit rustic (as it should be!) and will not be for everyone but it was great for the two of us. We are from the western US and being able to spend two weeks in Rockport, MA...looking out every morning on this little - idyllic - lobster fishing harbor from the second and third floors...IT WAS FABULOUS! The photos included in the listing represent the property very well. No surprises. We liked that a lot. But...the photos only partially prepared us for the full visual and emotional impact of this place on us once we settled in. I feel sorry for those who can only stay here a day or two. And they will all wish they could stay longer! I think we would have stayed all summer it we could have. We found the property centrally located for all we wanted to do in this region. Lots of interesting shops, safe streets of walking, hiking nearby, tasty restaurants, close access to the rail system into Boston...and lots of fun and nearby places to explore - Essex, Gloucester, Salem, Newburyport...and points in between. This is a definite winner!
