We are back in Hawaii, after a two week stay in July 2014 at the Pumpkin House in Rockport, Ma. We were in Mass for a niece's wedding at the Hammond Castle in Gloucester. My goodness, she picked July 5th for the wedding, one of the busiest time here in this area, but staying here at the Pumpkin House was perfect for all we had to do was walk out the front door to enjoy all the July 4th activities (which extended to 3 days of fun because of the storm). And that is one of the reason this vacation rental is great...it was near the beaches, the shops, the restaurants, and a 6 minute walk to catch the train to Boston. There was ample parking for our group..3 cars..but a lot of onstreet after the July 4th crowd left. The house was great, a real antique colonial house (remember we live in Hawaii). There was space for everyone to have alone time if needed, we tended to collect in the kitchen a lot. All sleeping areas are air conditioned. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need for a large family dinner. Okay we only did it once because so many places to eat around here. There is a half bathroom downstairs, and two complete bathrooms on the second floor...so there was never an issue about that! And if there are any issues, just call Roger for he responds immediately to fix any problems you may encounter. This is a great vacation rental for families, big and roomy, near everything, a short walk to catch the train to Boston. (Which was so fun for us, and to use the subways, too!) We were enjoyed our stay here, and happy we selected the Pumpkin House!!
