Best of MV!

This home is truly an island gem! And I say 'home' because it has everything- the kitchen is fully stocked with great cook/dining ware, including pantry essentials, soft towels and bed linens, and cozy furniture. Everything is always so clean and tidy upon arrival, helping the stay be truly comfortable and relaxing! Not to mention the house has everything, so packing is super easy- even with kids! Great location! Only a 10 minute walk to town for shopping, restaurants, the town beach, or delicious Mad Martha's ice cream! 10 minutes in the other direction brings you to the West Chop lighthouse and beautiful lookout point to watch an amazing sunset. Short drive to other island beaches! The large side porch is definitely a favorite spot for our family- from enjoying the morning cup of coffee, to relaxing with a book, to eating our meals at the outdoor table. Even the days it rained or we had too much sun the day before, the porch was always perfect with a nice warm breeze. The days at the beach are perfect with the cooler, beach chairs, and beach towels provided. There are even sand toys for the kids! Every year we look forward to going back to this island oasis, but more importantly, this 'home' away from home.

Location! Location! Location!

5 of 5
Being from Minnesota, we wanted a place close to the water to watch an authentic Nor'Easter coming in. Bingo! Any closer and we would have been soaked the entire time. Yet, our cottage was so well constructed that, unless you looked out the window, you'd hardly know a storm was outside. The storm was exciting and the aftermath was thrilling. Literally hundreds, perhaps thousands, of northern gannets, shearwaters, eiders, and other marine birds flocking past our window during the day and the lovely lights of Provincetown and the cape lighthouses at night. Although most of the area is developed, the cottage is situated near a huge, high dune running away to the south so you really have a sense of privacy and natural environment. We found the cabin itself to be perfect and perfectly outfitted with everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Small yes, but cozy and a real feeling of being outside while in. The windows facing west and south were endlessly entertaining. The location was not only perfect for watching birds and harbor seals, but we really enjoyed the proximity to Provincetown more than expected. What a fun place to visit, even in the off-season. And of course the few minutes drive up to Race Point to watch the waves after the storm will always be a highlight of our trip. All in all, a great stay. If you can do better for the price, you are doing really, really well. One last note. We came to Cape Cod without having set up anything in advance. We are grateful that the owners were so quick and diligent in answering our requests and getting things set up. The people you work often make or break your vacation. Thanks, Liz, for everything.

Wonderful time this year as always!

5 of 5
We have been renting this cottage for over 10 years and keep returning because it suits our needs, is well cared for and very comfortable, and is conveniently located to what we like to do when vacationing on Cape Cod. The listing description is accurate and customer service is excellent. The beaches are the main attraction and the choices are many - the National Seashore Beaches, Marconi is our favorite, the Bay beaches, especially for watching sunsets, and Great Pond which is freshwater. All are only minutes away. Places we like to eat at include Ben & Jerry’s, The Box Lunch, The Fairway, which are within walking distance, as is a Deli. There are many more restaurants nearby to choose from. Bike Rentals are also near at hand as is access to the Bike Trail. The National Seashore Visitors’ Center is a great place spend time. We make trips into Wellfleet, Orleans, and Brewster. We would definitely recommend this cottage!
